The Minister of Internal Affairs (MUP) Filip Adžić met with representatives of the union of MUP officers and the Police Directorate.
As announced by the Ministry of Interior, the meeting was organized on the occasion of the final phase of harmonization of the Collective Agreement for employees, "in order to improve conditions, above all increasing wages."
As they add, the representative of the Ministry of Finance also attended the meeting.
Adžić said that he wants to actively participate in the process of improving the material and technical working conditions, as well as the material status of the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Police Administration.
"During the meeting, the minister referred to the application of the Decision on the supplement to the basic salary for the performance of work in certain workplaces, which entered into force on June 30, 2022, and police officers will receive increased salaries for the month of July," it is stated in announcement.
In addition, at the meeting, as announced, it was agreed to "as soon as possible start amending the Regulation on job groups and salary coefficients for police officers, which would apply from January 01.01.2023, XNUMX, and would make an additional contribution to in the sense of increasing the salary of police officers."
"The priorities of the 43rd Government are to the greatest extent related to the competences of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which is why a lot is expected from officials. Aware of this fact, the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs makes a full contribution when it comes to better working conditions, which is also shown by the proactive approach in the preparation of the Collective contract, for which the officers have been waiting for 20 years. You have my full support, I will advocate for the fulfillment of the requests of police officers to the extent possible, all with the aim of improving the standards of those who care about the security of the state of Montenegro and its citizens, Minister Adžić said," writes in the announcement.
The announcement concludes that the Union representatives thanked Adžić for "engagement in full capacity when it comes to solving the problems of the officers of the Police Administration."
