Boško Laketić was elected president of the Mojkovac committee of the URA Civic Movement. He said that this party proves that "Montenegro is not a hopeless country".
"During these seven years of existence, the URA disrupts the multi-decade matrix in which it is normal for our country, Montenegro, to be constantly divided into two Montenegros, and in essence it is all one and the same Montenegro, our one and only. It will have bright future only when we accept it as it essentially is and in which there will be room for everyone, no matter how ethnically, religiously or in any other way they feel. And we as a party are proof that this is possible, because URA Montenegro in miniature, woven from all our differences", said Laketić at tonight's III electoral convention of that committee, as announced by the GP URA.
He believes that what distinguishes this party from other political entities is its readiness to take responsibility and to make statesmanlike moves.
"In my political activities, I have always put the team before the individual, believing that every team is only as strong as its weakest link... Likewise, every country is only as strong as the good status of the most vulnerable individuals in society. We do not agree to status quo. Since the establishment of URE, we all have only one goal - that Montenegro be a country of all its citizens, reconciled, a country of justice and a country of economic well-being for all its citizens. Everything we do, we do to achieve that goal," added Laketić.
URE Vice President Miloš Konatar said that they chose a "difficult, but honorable and correct path".
"We should be proud of that. Since August 30, it was said that we would not succeed. We are always targeted as traitors from all sides. We have always followed the path that means the good of the citizens of Montenegro. When you decide to change the country, it is not easy, but is the only right thing. The key goal of our generation is to unite all citizens of Montenegro and membership in the EU. We want to see the life of European citizens in Montenegro," Konatar said. He pointed out that all help is available to the local administration and the Mojkovac URE board. .
"We are not in politics to be in the chair. If we don't need to pass the census, let's not pass it. We will do what is right and what we consider the only good thing for this country. It is important that Montenegro moves forward", Political Director of URE Ana Novaković-Đurović she pointed out that the Mojkovac committee is, in a way, "the herald of URE and the idea of an ecological and civil Montenegro in the north".
"We are well on our way to spreading the idea of a reconciled, civil state. The path chosen by the URA is the least easy, so on a daily basis we are hit by nationalism and primitivism. In such days, we should be more united and united than ever. The simplest thing is to live with one mind in pens, and URA is the only one trying to change something. It's no surprise that we are constantly targeted by those who don't want to build bridges, but to tear them down". Ivan Ašanin, the outgoing president of the Mojkovac board of URA, pointed out that from that party "they are forcing changes, not replacement".
"It is a process, and we still have a lot to do. A broader consensus is needed, and citizens must reconcile. Mojkovac shows that it is possible. Our platform and the project of the new government is reconciliation. Many want tensions to prevent the development of the state. We at we do not agree to that," said Ašanin. According to him, in order for changes to occur more quickly, Montenegro must form, train and reform the Judicial Council, the Prosecutor's Council, the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court... Veljko Dedejić was appointed vice president of the local board.
"For me, this election represents a great honor, but also an obligation to justify the trust shown. URA is oriented towards the future, we are witnessing that the management is working intensively to solve some issues that have been burdening our reality for a long time. By putting an end to them, we would move towards solving economic and social issues - to what is the present and the future," he said. As he reminded, the Mojkovac URA made a big contribution to the change of DPS authorities in Mojkovac on December 5. Milica Kravarušić was also appointed as the vice president of the board.
"In the previous period, we showed enviable results in the field of environmental protection, human rights, social justice and equality. I believe in the strength of the Youth Forum and I am sure that in the coming period we will contribute to the development of our civil society in which every individual is important". she pointed out.
According to her, young people should be shown what Montenegro has and can offer them, so that they don't "go to the white world looking for a better life". "I firmly believe that the URE Youth Forum, as one of the most active initiators of social change, can continue to influence the improvement of the living conditions of young people in our country," she added.
Ilija Stanić, the new secretary of the Mojkovac URE, said that he will not give up on the goals set by that party. "Firm, steady and we do not give up on our goals. In all events, URA has shown its strength and that is what adorns our party".
The former president of the Municipality of Kolašin, Željka Vuksanović, also addressed those present.
"Montenegro, Mojkovac, Kolašin, like every one of our local communities, have all the resources, but we still don't live well - because we don't have a good organization. The URA managed to remove the shackles held by one party, and brought democracy to the country. Necessarily. is to initiate faster development of the north, and create a team that will be strictly in charge of it," she said.
Marina Palević was elected president of the Women's Forum of Mojkovac URE.
"Being part of URA means belonging to a true civil party that fights for the rule of law and equal opportunities for everyone. I am sure that URA is the party of the future and that it will have a decisive influence on the creation of a modern, democratic and prosperous society. At the head of the Women's Forum, I will dedicate myself to the affirmation of gender equality at all levels of decision-making, as well as improving the position of women in all spheres of society. There is a lot of work ahead of us, but I am sure that we will successfully complete all the tasks ahead of us," she said.
Konatar pointed out that URA will continue to believe in and work to change society. "We in URI live in civil Montenegro, and that civil Montenegro got its true embodiment on April 28 in Cetinje," he said, as reported by URE.
Novaković-Đurović said that the URA has shown that in the positions where it has its own representatives, it works only in the state interest, but also in the local interest - in local self-governments. "Regarding the mine in Mojkovac, the investment is being realized in accordance with the procedures. It will bring over 700 new jobs when the whole job is done. The recycling center is also an important project for which we will try to secure funds from European Union (EU) funds. "These are all topics that should interest us. Only through work and projects can URA show citizens what our mission is. It is the only force that shows the young generations that Montenegro is not a hopeless country," she stated.
"With a clear head and a warm heart, we will move on, where we started a long time ago, towards Montenegro, which we aspire to, which we dream of. There will certainly be many more storms on the way, but I know that we will not back down from any of them. We will continue into new victories", concluded Laketić.
