As soon as possible, the Ministry of Public Administration will send the Draft Law on Free Access to Information (SPI) to the Government for consideration and determination, said relevant Minister Maraš Dukaj.
He stated on Twitter that the Ministry will submit the draft law after receiving opinions from the competent authorities.
The previous government adopted a proposal to amend the SPI Act on December 29 last year.
The new government withdrew that act from the parliamentary procedure in order, as previously announced, to create a normative precondition for more effective exercise of citizens' right to access information held by state administration bodies.
