Many of the perpetrators of the Plantaž looting have not yet been arrested, and they have caused enormous damage to the company, such as Verica Maraš from the DPS, said Ivica Vukčević, a member of Prava Montenegro.
As stated in the announcement of this party, Vučević pointed out that this company "was a large base for the party's employment of DPS personnel, who sat unemployed in crowded offices, especially when the company was headed by Verica Maraš".
"For decades, Plantaž management members behaved as if the company was their private property, so they gave each other huge earnings and bonuses, which were not related to the results of the company, nor to their work performance. For example, the Board of Directors of Plantaž on 12.05.2010 .in 299.000, approved 7.000 euros to Verica Maraš to solve the personnel housing issue, even though she received a salary of more than XNUMX euros per month in one period. Therefore, the work of the previous Board of Directors should be examined," Vukčević says.
He believes that the situation in Plantaže "has been catastrophic for a long time".
"Due to bad business policy, the loss of the company increased from year to year and reached 20 million euros at the end of 2021. Unfortunately, the arrests of members of the Plantation Board of Directors for abuse of official position during the conclusion of the settlement agreement with the company 'OMP Engineering' are only the tip of the iceberg. The plantations lost 350.000 euros and 37.000 square meters of land in Donji Kokoti due to an unnecessary settlement with the company 'OMP Engineering', one of the owners of which was a high-ranking DPS official Predrag Bošković. This and other harmful contracts were one of the ways in which money extracted from the company," says Vukčević.
On the other hand, as he said, "the workers who brought great income to the Plantations, receive very low wages, even though they work under the most difficult weather conditions, at temperatures exceeding 40 degrees and without appropriate equipment".
"In addition, Plantaž workers experienced their salaries being reduced and delayed for several months in the company, which has multimillion-dollar revenues from the sale of grapes, peaches, various wines and brandies," said Vukčević.
He believes that "the biggest problem of Plantaž is the practice established by DPS in that company".
"And, which implied that the members of the management get rich at the expense of the workers, to the detriment of the company and the state of Montenegro. The robbery of Plantaž must be stopped once and for all, everyone who participated in that robbery must be arrested and appropriate control over that company must be established, whose survival and development is extremely important for Montenegro," concluded Vukčević.
