Officials of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) of Montenegro and the Yugoslav Communist Party of Montenegro (JKPCG), led by the presidents, Milan Knežević and Radisava Stanišić, today laid wreaths at the memorial to the Partisan fighter in Gorica, in commemoration of the Thirteenth of July Uprising, announced is from DNP and JKPCG.
"Inheriting in their programs the ideas of freedom and anti-fascism, the DNP of Montenegro and the JKP of Montenegro reverently commemorate July 13, as one of the brightest dates in the history of Montenegro, when this nation, among the first nations in the Balkans and in Europe, said its historic, fearless "NO!" to slavery and tyranny, and stood up against the far superior fascist occupier and his allies. The idea of anti-fascism in every age, even today, remains as an imperative of free humanity, with the obligation of today's and new generations to make the heroic sacrifice of our ancestors today and always with they commemorate and respect with piety as a shining example of the indomitability of our people, which even on July 13, 1941, "will not be bound in chains", but with raised foreheads will be written in the recent history of the entire freedom-loving humanity", states the joint statement.
