The Assembly adopted the Resolution on the genocide in Piva and Velica

Today, the Parliament of Montenegro adopted the Law on Amendments to the Law on the Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns.

47 MPs voted in favor and 30 against.

The reason for the urgency of the Legislative Committee for the Law to enter into force on the day of publication was also adopted.

SD MP Damir Šehović proposed to add to the proposal the statement that the decision will be applied from September 15, because there are no conditions for them to work well during August.

The Assembly adopted the Resolution regarding the Russian Federation's military aggression against Ukraine.

55 MPs voted for the Resolution, 18 against and three abstained.

Demos MP Miodrag Lekić submitted six amendments to the Resolution, and Marko Milačić (Prava Montenegro) seven, but none were accepted.

The Assembly adopted the Resolution on the genocide in Piva and Velica.

40 deputies voted for the Resolution, three against and 28 abstained.

Within the point of elections and appointments, Damir Suljević was appointed as a member of the State Election from among civil society, the NGO sector and the university.

Nikola Rakočević (DPS) was relieved of his duties as a member of the Anti-Corruption Committee, and Lidija Kljajić (DPS) was appointed in his place. Rakočević was elected as a member of the Security and Defense Committee.

Predrag Miranović was appointed as a member of the RTCG Council.

Željko Rutović was appointed as the president of the Agency for the Protection of Personal Data, and Zoran Vujičić as a member of the Svajet Agency.

The session was interrupted due to the sessions of the parliamentary committees, and the President of the Assembly Danijela Đurović fell ill, so the session will not continue tonight.

There is no one to lead the session because the Vice President of the Assembly, Branka Bošnjak, is in isolation.

Earlier today, the Assembly continued its work by declaring the points from the previous, eighth session, and after the Collegium of the President of the Assembly, which was held in order to reach an agreement on further work.

Democratic Montenegro and Prava Montenegro told "Vijesta" that they do not know why the session is delayed and that they have no information on when it could start.

The President of the Assembly, Danijela Đurović, had scheduled the ninth session for today at noon on Friday, whose agenda included changes to the Law on Salaries of Public Sector Employees, but the eighth session continued.

The President of the Democratic People's Party (DNP) Milan Knežević accused the President of the Assembly of scheduling the new session in order to include "anti-Zetic laws" in the agenda, and announced that he would file a criminal complaint against her if she did so.
