The fundamental contract (TU) between the Government of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) was not signed secretly - Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced today.
Yesterday, Abazović and SPC Patriarch Porfirije signed the TU in Villa Gorica in Podgorica, without prior announcement.
"It has been talked about for 10 years, and in the last 20-30 days very intensively. We said that it would happen soon, and now someone says - we are surprised. We chose the form in agreement with the SPC. They, due to the overall climate, that someone would not involve them in political games, they said that between two variants - in the press or in the state residence, quietly - they would decide on one. Here on July 31st I said that I did not know the exact date. At that time I did not know that there would be 3 August. It happened to be on that very day. I personally thought that it would be on August 6 or 14, when the Patriarch arrived in Montenegro. Anyone who is honest will say that I was right. It was not signed secretly, it was signed in front of 30 people. The media were not present, but they were informed when it was signed," said Abazović at the press conference on the occasion of the Government's XNUMX days of work, answering a journalist's question as to why the TU was signed without notice.
Commenting on media reports that the head of the border police regional center, Vasko Aković, was "skipped in the chain of command" during the arrival of the patriarch of the Serbian Orthodox Church, Abazović said that "the head of the border police has a personal problem because he knew he could no longer stay in that place, so this is used for political abuse".
"I have a question for him and the one who taught him to say that - what is being done with cross-border smuggling? The situation is completely clear and flawless," said Abazović.
Aković complained that he was not aware of the arrival of SPC Patriarch Porfiri, to which he received the answer that the reason for this was that everything was kept secret and that only a few people knew about it.
Part of the media reported that Aković resigned because allegedly Porfirije crossed the border outside the usual procedure.
"Vijesti" was told by the top of the Police Administration (UP) that this is not true and that Porfirije and all other members of the delegation went through the procedure, i.e. their documents were taken from the Zlatica camp to the nearest border crossing (Podgorica Airport) where their entry was recorded.
They explained that this is not uncommon when it comes to protected persons.
After the discussion, Dragan Klikovac, Acting Assistant Director of the UP for the Border Police Sector, dismissed Aković.
Abazović said at today's conference that he does not know if the Government will survive August 19 (the date when the Assembly session on no confidence in the Government is scheduled).
"But I know that politically there will be no part of those who initiated the no-confidence procedure. I do not predict a good political future for them. Whatever happens, we are ready to step down with dignity. We will continue the political struggle. Anyone who presses the green light (for no-confidence in the Government) means that wants to take Montenegro back and cancel the TU. Some want to return us to the mire of nationalism. At this moment, I doubt they have 41 votes, and I am grateful to the minority parties for not signing the initiative, regardless of how they will declare it at the Assembly session Everything will be crystal clear to people in a month or two," said Abazović.
Krivokapić and Konjević have not been part of the team since the first day
When asked if he thinks that Minister of Foreign Affairs Ranko Krivokapić and Minister of Defense Raško Konjević should resign, given that their Social Democratic Party (SDP) signed the motion of no confidence, Abazović said that they were "not part of the team" from day one.
"I'm sorry, I'm very well-intentioned and I want to cooperate. This has nothing to do with TU. It's a question of political ethics and I'm not sure that they have it or that we look at ethics in the same way. They don't bother me personally even now. It's even good that people they make a difference - they see and hear them and they see and hear us. If it weren't so, if ethics were in the first place, they would never get into such a situation. They lead two important departments, and they act like the opposition. From morning to night, they think about how they will to do something against the government. Many things have been clarified about the SDP. I told the president of the DPS (Democratic Party of Socialists) that they are hostages of the SDP and that they are fighting for extremist votes... I am not rooting for the right to grow stronger." , said Abazović.
About the alleged connections between Radjenović and criminal groups: This is what the media, which is not a media, is writing, we are all on the trail to find out where the sources come from
About the alleged connections of the official of the Citizens' Movement URA, Blaž Rađenović, with criminal groups, Abazović, who is also the leader of that party, said that "that's what the media, which is not a media, is writing."
"We are all on the trail to find out where these sources come from. As far as I am concerned, against anyone, if there is something relevant, the state authorities will not have any restrictions to unravel every matter. Starting with me personally. My knowledge is that he (Rađenović) he only has contacts at the level of the local community in Budva," Abazović said.
We are not far from Davidović taking over Željezara
Regarding the Nikšić Ironworks case, Abazović said that workers have guaranteed wages until September 1.
"We are trying to be a mediator, because we do not have ownership. We offered to participate in it, perhaps, in one percent," Abazović said.
He said that Nikšić businessman Miodrag Daka Davidović, who is interested in buying Željezara, does not want the intervention of the state.
"That makes things easier for us. We had the last meeting on Tuesday. We are ready, but Davidović must define the method of repayment in direct communication with the Turkish investor. I think we are not far from taking over Željezara from Davidović," said Abazović.
As for the new director of the Airport, it is a matter of political agreement and we do not hide it
Speaking about the personnel policy of the current government and controversial appointments, Abazović said that he understands the public, but that someone has to implement the policy and make decisions.
"I am grateful to the former director of the Airport (Goran Janderoski). However, we need to have more lots and a greater flow. As for the new director, it is a matter of political agreement and we do not hide that. Not all appointments are the happiest. This is not a criticism of other political options It is easy to say on social networks that someone is not good. When some people who are not politically active and who have references are offered to take responsibility, they will not do it. Sometimes we also face this gap, which, it seems to me, is of an ethical nature," he said. is Abazović.
On August 2, Jandreoski was dismissed from the post of executive director of Aerodrom Crne Gore, and according to "Vijesti", the acting director will be Vladan Drašković until a new one is elected, while Damir Gutić, vice-president of the Bosniak Party, should then be elected as the new director.
DPS, SDP and SD will have to take responsibility for destabilization. They robbed the citizens to the bone, and then they won't help them
When asked whether he had spoken with Democratic Montenegro and whether a no-confidence vote against the Government would mean overcomposition, Abazović said that all options remain open.
"Give others the right you seek for yourself. My agenda until the 19th is 'fooled'. We will certainly have to hold elections. But DPS, SDP and Social Democrats (SD) will have to take responsibility for all the destabilization - if the energy crisis starts, if we have to rebalance and we don't have a government. If destabilization starts, those three options should be targeted. They robbed the citizens to the bone, and then they won't help them. This also has a regional context, because you have elections in BiH , events in Kosovo, and now we need to go to destabilization in Montenegro. Citizens need to recognize that," said Abazović.
