Prime Minister Dritan Abazović announced today that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Raško Konjević is not a member of an organized criminal group (OKG), but that he is politically performing work for the benefit of some structures in the country.
Yesterday, at the Government session, Abazović indirectly connected Konjević with an unnamed high-ranking official of the security sector, who is allegedly threatening the Prime Minister with "beheading".
However, he did not specify who was behind the threats, and he did not want to do so today either.
Konjević reacted and said that these are disturbing accusations, calling on the Special State Prosecutor's Office to react.
Today, at the presentation of the results on the occasion of the 100 days of work of the Government, Abazović said that he did not announce that Konjević was a member of the OKG, "because if he was a member, he would never have been nominated for minister".
"He is, among other things, the head of the Bureau for Operational Coordination. The way he does his job shows that he did not know that the Basic Agreement (TU) would be signed. It shows how he does his job, and he mocked some others who did that job I didn't say that he was a member of the OKG, but I told him to convey it to him - to the one who said it (that 'heads will fall'), but there is no need to convey it, because I said it publicly, so he probably heard it. Who is that - I won't reveal it, nor does it occur to me. Whoever recognizes himself, will recognize himself. That's what I said. If I knew that (Konjević) was a member (of OKG), I probably would have said it myself, just like him in relation to me. I think he is just an exponent of such a policy that is very problematic for the state of Montenegro. An exponent, someone who politically carries out work in favor of some structures in the state. There is no need to convey the message, because everyone heard it yesterday from of my mouth," said Abazović.
He stated that he does not make a sacrifice of himself and that he is not afraid of absolutely anything. However, he did not answer the question of whether he forwarded his findings to the competent state authorities.
"I also invited them to, if they have something, hurry up. I continue my mission, correct, democratic, which leads to breaking and suffocating the criminal octopus in Montenegro. These are the reasons why this government should fall. There are other issues that someone wants to treat or will treat them, they can only be a cover to cause some emotional component that would enable homogenization. In the defense of crime, you cannot emotionally homogenize anyone, because people are against it. But when you tell them that it is against Montenegrins, that they will no longer be able to go to church... We have all seen it. When the amendments to the Law on Freedom of Religion were adopted, no one mentioned it after three days. On August 19, I will go to the Assembly and tell what TU changed, in compared to the day before it was signed, in the life of any Montenegrin citizen. Were churches put on wheels and transported to Čačak, was someone's right to life threatened... Someone will have to say that in 15-20 days ".
He claims that it was demanded that the TU be signed in October, "so that they would have a new situation with Cetinje before the local elections, and that in that homogenization they would increase their possibility of winning in Podgorica, because those elections are crucial for them".
"That was the goal. They even told some people from the international community that they had no objection to signing this text at TU. Given that I passed September 4 and 5 (last year) and I am proud that it was not no victims fell, I did everything to prevent September 4 and 5. This event (the signing of the TU), which perhaps should have turned into - you yourself saw a perfection, an organizational perfection, that nobody, for a single second did not disturb. Everything was regular, there were no protests - of course, I do not minimize the importance of the group of people that gathered the night before, even that day outside Villa Gorica - and for that I express special congratulations to the Minister of the Interior and the Police Directorate. As long as I am in charge Government, I will be guided exclusively by the state interest. Maybe this is not the interest of my party. As long as I am prime minister, I will only be interested in the state interest of Montenegro. I think that for these 100 days of the Government, including yesterday, that interest is fully protected," he said. is.
Abazović said that the mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, mentions him every day, and that he tries "to refrain and rise above it", and that he also "begs his colleagues not to respond".
"Someone makes a campaign, but he must know that there is a limit and a threshold of tolerance for everything. I am convinced that the citizens of Podgorica do not want extremes at the head of the city, but someone who is civic-oriented. And he, and Mr. Konjević, and Mr. (Ranko ) Krivokapić, and Mr. (Damir) Šehović - they will get an answer every time," he underlined.
