MP and leader of Prava Montenegro Marko Milačić announced that Dritan Abazović's proposal on the reconstruction of the 43rd Government "was a pre-arranged bluff".
Milačić claims in the press release that the "target bluff" of Abazović together with the SNP "shows what happened behind the scenes, during the break of the parliamentary session that was requested yesterday in order to reach an agreement on reconstruction".
"In fact, at a meeting attended by representatives of the parties of the coalition "For the Future of Montenegro", as well as Miodrag Lekić, Fatmir Đeka and Prime Minister Dritan Abazović, Abazović undertook to submit a reconstruction proposal with the signatures of all members of his URE and SNP, and that after that, the others propose possible corrections, requests, and if there is an agreement, they put their signatures so that such a proposal, signed and agreed upon by the 32 deputies, would be offered to the deputies of Democratic Montenegro who were familiar with all the above and were waiting for such a proposal, so that they could then come to the agreed position of the 41st deputies of the parliamentary majority from August 30. As a representative of Prava Montenegro, I pointed out that if we really care about an agreement within the framework of the 41st deputies, we must make a good effort, even at the cost of prolonging last night's no-confidence vote (which is procedurally possible) to harmonize the proposal of 32 MPs in detail, so that it would be acceptable for Democratic Montenegro, i.e. for all 41," Milačić said in the announcement.
He adds that after that, the Assembly's office submitted a "proposed text of the so-called reconstruction with the signatures of nine URE and SNP deputies".
"True Montenegro, seeing that it is a completely flat-rate document of general places, and not a serious and concrete proposal at all, and wanting to do everything in our power to reach an agreement, we immediately started writing a proposal for changes to the offered document, in order to concretely, and what was the agreement from the meeting. However, instead of sitting down again during the break, which was given due to the agreement, Dritan Abazović publicly announced the proposal of nine deputies in front of the cameras in the Parliament of Montenegro, and afterwards as someone with whom we we should have harmonized and concretized such a proposal, as the most responsible, given that it is about the reconstruction of his Government, but also as the leader of URE, whose signatures were on that document, went to the plenum and did not show any further initiative. Instead, therefore, that agree on the offered document with him, and for which a certain amount of time is needed, shortly after Abazović's press conference, obviously coordinated, the break was interrupted and the discussion in the plenum was immediately resumed in order to obviously speed everything up and leave no room for an agreement. Thus, the Democrats' deputies received the initial text, and not, as was agreed, a serious, responsible, concrete and harmonized document".
Milačić also states in the statement that Prava, during the consideration of the initial proposal and the formulation of their suggestions, "was surprised by an interrupted pause, without any announcement, explanation, let alone an attempt at reconciliation".
"Of course, that was a completely clear signal that everything was staged and that it was a pre-prepared performance. That is why the only correct decision was to fully fulfill the orders of the Presidency of Real Montenegro, without taking into account the alleged willingness to agree, which came down to another press conference by Dritan Abazović. It is clear to the real Montenegro that this scenario was thoroughly prepared and orchestrated so that the public would get the impression that Dritan Abazović was ready for an agreement, while behind the scenes he closed the door to any agreement," Milačić concluded
