Democratic Front MP Simonida Kordić announced that it is logical that the prime minister should be delegated from that party, and that it should be the president of the New Serbian Democracy (NSD), Andrija Mandić.
She said that DF calls for everyone to return to the framework of democratic decision-making, in which the people decide on their own political destiny.
The only measurable data, as he states, that we have now are the results of the election on August 30 and that they clearly showed that the dominant support within the then parliamentary majority was the DF, which received 20 seats in the parliament based on those votes.
"It is logical that the prime minister should be delegated from the DF, and that from the largest party, and that the president of the NSD, Andrija Mandić, should assume this responsibility. These are just normal political rules that apply throughout the world and are not questioned anywhere, because when you call them into question, then you have the collapse of the entire electoral and democratic system. Then a legitimate question is raised, what is the purpose of elections, voting at all, what is the will of the people worth when key decisions are made not only outside the scope of that will, but are contrary to that will," it is stated. in her statement.
Kordić pointed out that it is important to see if there is some kind of agreement regarding the formation of a political government between those who recently overthrew the government.
"If this is the case, then we have a completely new political reality, if not, then it is necessary for those forces that made up the parliamentary majority on August 30 to declare decisively that they will not form a government, nor any arrangements with the DPS. That way they would have clear situation for possible agreements within that parliamentary majority.
According to her, DF was the only one that did not have any arrangement with DPS and that they are fully ready to decide directly on this, and that in that case, DF could initiate talks with the aim of getting out of the crisis.
"There is nothing more natural and legal than to return things to the framework provided by the Constitution and the electoral will of the people, demonstrated in the previous parliamentary elections. The vacuum in the political situation in Montenegro was created two years ago when, instead of a democratic government, an experimental government was formed - first " expert"' and then a minority government," said Kordić.
The statement concludes that DF advocates a return to what are democratic, European principles, the Constitution and valid laws.
