At yesterday's meeting of the parties of the former parliamentary majority, the Democratic Front (DF) announced that the position of Prime Minister belongs to them, and that the position of President of the Assembly should belong to Democratic Montenegro, "Vijesti" has learned.
That political alliance, according to the "Vijesti" source, did not mention a specific name for the position of prime minister at yesterday's meeting, but should do so at the next meeting, which is scheduled for tomorrow.
In the previous period, the officials of the New Serbian Democracy (NOVA) nominated their leader for that position Andrija Mandić, and he said that he would be honored if he were prime minister.
Democratic president Aleksa Becic recently said that for the benefit of the state and the people, that party renounces the functions of Prime Minister and President of the Assembly.
After the third meeting of the old majority, organized in an attempt to solve the political crisis and reach a compromise on the election of a new government and the leadership of the Assembly, it was announced yesterday that tomorrow's meeting will reveal the candidates for Prime Minister and President of the Assembly.
At yesterday's meeting, as "Vijesti" learned, it was also proposed that the new mandate holder should have a concrete program of urgent measures and the basis for necessary reforms.
Mandić said after the meeting that 41 MPs signed the Agreement and pledged that the return of the DPS to the executive power will be eliminated.
"Here are the signatures of all 41 deputies of the parliamentary majority as of August 30, 2020. The first goal of that parliamentary majority is the elimination of any possibility of return and participation of the DPS in the executive power in any form and the continuation of the dismantling of the former regime, as well as other goals, the priority of which is the fight against organized crime and corruption".
Mandić pointed out that now there is a clear parliamentary majority that has sent messages to DPS that 41 MPs do not see them as partners, but as a problem.
"I am convinced that if we follow what we signed, and if we listen to the voice of the people who are calling us to come to an agreement, that already on Monday, when we have scheduled the next meeting... we will resolve the issues... - who is the candidate for prime minister and of the President of the Assembly".
Deputy of Democratic Montenegro Dragan Krapović said that certain advances were made at the meeting in the direction of approaching the agreement of the original parliamentary majority.

He pointed out that the Democrats did not condition the then-majority with anything, while it was in power, nor did they deliver any ultimatum to meet the current negotiations.
He said that they believe that it is not up to the SNP, GP URA and Citizens' Association CIVIS to propose a third solution for the positions of Prime Minister and President of the Assembly, because they have already overthrown this same majority once and "went with the DPS and signed a coalition agreement with them. agreement".
"We think it is not good that now they are again proposing a third solution. From those ranks came the proposal of the 42nd Government and its concept and personal solutions, which resulted in failure and they themselves demolished it. Well, the 43rd government that was also overthrown in the parliament. It does not belong to them, neither according to what we all signed together, nor according to the election result".
Krapović said that the emancipatory solution is for women to perform these two functions, but not from their list.
Member of the "Black on White" coalition Milos Konatar (URA) said that at the meeting they conveyed the position of that coalition that the current prime minister is in a technical mandate Dritan Abazovic should remain prime minister and that this is a guarantee that he will finish the started fight against corruption.

He said that Abazović is recommended for this by his previous results in the fight against corruption.
Konatar said that the Democrats' proposal that the nine MPs of the General Assembly of URA, CIVIS and SNP do not have the right to propose candidates for Prime Minister and President of the Assembly is absurd.
"If anyone intends to reach an agreement, it is not possible to reach it without nine deputies. This tells me that with today's attitude, the MPs of Democratic Montenegro have taken a step back when it comes to reaching an agreement and that they are setting the stage for an agreement not to be reached. If you want to reach an agreement, then you have to include everyone”.
Konatar said that he will be persistent and that he will present the same position on Monday - that Abazović should be prime minister, and that he expects the support of all parties for that.
Srđan Pavićević (CIVIS) said that at the meeting he did not get an answer as to what Abazović was doing wrong.
"We were told that it is not up to us to run for office, where does anyone get that right. We are eager to make a compromise".
At the first meeting of the old majority, held on September 2 in the Parliament, the representatives of the "old majority" signed an agreement on the proposal of the DF, which provided for the election of a new executive power and administration of the parliament.
At the second meeting, on September 6, in the Assembly, it was agreed that the parties should agree on proposals for the mandate for the composition of the government and the head of the legislative chamber.
