The President of Prava Montenegro, Marko Milačić, said after the meeting of the parties of the former parliamentary majority that he believes that they still have a chance to reach an agreement on the formation of a new government.
He pointed out that one of the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF), Andrija Mandić, renounced his candidacy for the mandate, as a gesture to reach an agreement, and that the leader of the Democrats, Aleksa Bečić, had done the same before him.
"However, we cannot get such information from the Civic Movement (GP) URA and their leader Dritan Abazović. The way to a solution is for Abazović to do what Bečić and Mandić did. I invite Abazović to show that Montenegro is more important than anything and that the agreement has no alternative," Milacic said at the press conference in the Parliament, after the meeting of the "old majority".

He believes that Abazović is currently the only obstacle on the way to an agreement.
"If the representative and leader of 20 MPs give up, if the leader who leads nine MPs gives up, wouldn't it be good if the leader who represents three or four MPs does it? There is hope. He said that "the ball of agreement" is with GP URA and Abazović.
"We will have an agreement in five minutes if Abazović gives up his position. I urge him to do so in the name of victory on August 30," said Milacic.

Milacic said that when Mandic withdrew his candidacy, he said that he thought Demos leader Miodrag Lekic was a good candidate for prime minister.
"However, even that was not approved by colleagues from the GP URA. This is not a good approach. I call for the GP URA to decide on that proposal. Mandić decided positively on it. Accordingly, the Democrats did not decide. Not because they are against it, because we saw that colleagues from GP URA only want Abazović. Let's stop with the ultimate approaches," Milačić said.
