In New York, Abazović met with Lajčak and spoke with Vučić

Prime Minister in technical mandate Dritan Abazović said that European integration is not an issue of one government "but a process that must be the focus of the whole society".

On the sidelines of the 77th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York, Abazović met with the special envoy of the European Union (EU) Miroslav Lajčak.

Abazović, as announced by the Government, expressed his satisfaction with the meeting with Lajčak and emphasized that Montenegro stands firmly on the path of promoting European values.

"Discussing the judiciary, Prime Minister Abazović pointed out the importance of unblocking the judiciary through the dialogue process, emphasizing his satisfaction with the election of a new member of the Judicial Council, Radoje Korać, and evaluating it as a step forward in the said unblocking. Abazović concluded that he hopes for a resolution of the political situation in Montenegro which would bring long-term political stability, push forward European integration and continue the determined fight against organized crime and corruption," the Government announced.

During the 77th session of the autumn session of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN), Abazović spoke with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić.

Vučić shared information about the conversation on his Instagram page.

"Today's first meeting with Abazović. We will continue later to talk about the improvement of cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia," said Vučić.

Abazović later shared photos on Telegram from the working lunch of the leaders of the Western Balkans, which was organized in New York by the head of diplomacy of the European Union, Josep Borelj.

Apart from Borelj, Abazović and Vučić, the prime minister of Albania Edi Rama, the president of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Šefik Džaferović and the prime minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovačeski were present at the working lunch.
