We are strengthening awareness of the importance of environmental protection, we are promoting a green Montenegro, the only constitutionally defined ecological state in the world, announced the Prime Minister of Montenegro in his technical mandate, Dritan Abazović.
As announced by the Cabinet of the President of the Government of Montenegro, "Abazović was a guest at the dinner of Michael Bloomberg, the special envoy of the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) for climate solutions, the founder of Bloomberg Philanthropies, the 108th mayor of New York, a long-time recognized global leader in fight against climate change".
"The dinner was held as part of the Innovation Summit on ecological solutions for healing the planet by 2030. The focus of the work of the philanthropic organization Bloomberg Philanthropies is the environment, public health, the arts, government innovations and education," reads the press release of Abazović's cabinet.
The announcement also states that in addition to Bloomberg, the Prime Minister spoke at the dinner with, among others, Cindy McCain, an American diplomat and the wife of former senator John McCain, Anders Holch Povlsen, a Danish billionaire and CEO of Bestseller, the ambassador of the United Kingdom in To the United States of America Karen Pearce, Jeremy Farrar, British medical researcher and CEO of the Welcome Trust and many others.
"We are strengthening awareness of the importance of environmental protection, promoting a green Montenegro, the only constitutionally defined ecological state in the world. It is a privilege to represent Montenegro in such a prestigious society. We are working for our country," said Abazović.
