Cleverley: The UK stands by Montenegro to protect its sovereignty and security from hostile Russian activities

British Foreign Minister James Cleverly welcomed the action of Montenegro to expel six Russian embassy officials for violating the Vienna Convention.

Yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro declared six diplomats of the Embassy of the Russian Federation accredited in Montenegro persona non grata.

"The UK stands with Montenegro in taking this action to protect its sovereignty and security from hostile Russian activities," his Twitter account said.

The Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the decision was made due to activities that contradict the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations and Relations of Mutual Respect and Respect between the two countries.
