The Social Democrats (SD) of Bara will ensure an increase in the amount of funds for social benefits by at least 15 percent every year, announced Jelena Dabović, SD candidate for councilor in that municipality.
She said, as stated in the announcement of SD, that the newspaper "Novo vrijeme za Bar" will actively work on the creation of new programs to provide assistance and support to the sick, the elderly, people with disabilities, the homeless, the unemployed, drug addicts, victims of violence, single parents and other socially vulnerable categories.
"We will advocate for the allocation of larger funds from the budget of the municipality of Bar for the National Kitchen, where 250 of our fellow citizens receive meals every day. We will promote gender equality and adequate protection of vulnerable groups through the opening of a 'Shelter for victims of violence', where adequate protection and professional assistance would be provided. in cooperation with the public and private sector, we will provide strong support to children who have to leave their foster families when they turn 18, in order to provide them with adequate housing and the possibility of employment," explained Dabović.
She pointed out that unlike the populist promises, the Social Democrats offer realistic and achievable solutions.
"Which will truly affect the quality of life of all Baranka and Baran residents, with a special emphasis on vulnerable categories. At least it's not the buildings, at least it's us, the people," concluded Dabović.
