"Just as criminal responsibility for the members of the former regime and confiscation of their property acquired through corruption and crime is a basic prerequisite for us to be able to hope for a more normal life, so decentralization is a condition for all conditions for the development of Tivat and Boka. And the fight for the same, we fear, only has started.
"According to the currently valid laws - criminal and ultra-centralist DPS laws - which the winning parties have not changed since August 30, 2020 until now (why not, ask yourself!), the local governments' hands are completely tied to do anything important without mercy from Podgorica. The extent of the victims of the local administration and its citizens of this totalitarian centralism is perhaps the most extreme evidence of the example of the residents of Lepetane, and all others who have property within the scope of the DUP of Lepetane," the announcement states.
They point out that they have not had a valid DUP for years.

They said that in the past two years they had "countless" meetings and contacts with representatives of the Government and the relevant ministry, "looking for and offering solutions".
"But even after their numerous promises, and our requests, emergencies, pleas - they didn't realize anything that was important for the Municipality of Tivat in the field of urban planning. That's how they didn't solve the issue of DUP Lepetana either.
"Also - despite our numerous appeals, urgencies, explanations - they did nothing when it comes to restitution, i.e. the return of property to the natives in Tivat and Boka - even though, at the same time, Dritan Abazović quickly returned the property to his compatriots in Valdanos". the announcement added.
They said that this is why they absolutely support the position of the residents of Lepetane to radicalize their actions in the fight to get a new DUP in Lepetane, but they fear that the blocking of the Adriatic highway "doesn't worry the party leaders in the least" in Podgorica.
"However, what would surely worry them and force them to take action for the benefit of us from Boka - is if we from here headed to Podgorica in large numbers, and blocked its roads.
"On the twenty-third of October, in all 14 municipalities where elections are held, DPS and satellites will be brutally defeated and humiliated, and finally sent to the political margins. But there are all indications that all other parties have no intention of ending centralist practices, and that we will again have to fight for our elementary rights in an extra-institutional way, and that much more fiercely if we don't think we will lose another 30 years," the announcement concludes.
