Candidate for councilor of the Socialist People's Party (SNP) "Fundamentally for Bar" Danijela Radović believes that one of the priorities in that city is how to extend the exploitation of the Možura landfill.
She assessed that Bar is a beautiful city full of natural beauty, wide streets, olive trees and long beaches, and that such an ecological city should be preserved and developed.
"We are aware of the fact that the Možura landfill is overloaded with the amount of municipal waste that is disposed of, both from Bar and Ulcinj and from other coastal cities (Budva, Kotor, Tivat). Therefore, the construction of new sanitary bathtubs is necessary. Also and the realization of the project of energy utilization of municipal waste, for the production of electricity. The plants on Možura should be equipped with systems for purifying waste gases, as well as to solve the issue of waste, runoff water," it is stated in her announcement.
Radović also states that the SNP will promote the construction of a recycling center for municipal waste at the Možura landfill site, in order to use secondary raw materials from cardboard, paper, plastic, and metal.
The construction of that recycling center, he says, would raise the level of environmental protection, extend the life of the landfill and provide the opportunity, which is significant, to create new jobs.
"More public green areas, parks for children, gyms in a designated area - this is a priority for the Socialist People's Party. Let's protect the environment, protect our city and our health. Let's take fundamental and safe steps towards a better future," her announcement concludes.
