This was announced by the candidate for councilor on the list of SD - "Novo vrijeme za Bar", businessman from Bar, Nedeljko-Lale Čović.
Čović, as stated in the announcement of the Social Democrats, said that a better standard of living can be achieved through the development of private business, family firms, which in the near future should represent the carriers of Bar's economic development.
In order to achieve all this, he says, the new local self-government must create a favorable economic environment for the establishment and functioning of this type of private company.
"The Social Democrats, as part of the new local government, as part of the Secretariat for the Economy, will initiate the opening of the Office for Agriculture in order to provide adequate conditions for the development of family farms to all residents of the Bar municipality, with a special emphasis on the area around Lake Skadar and Krajina. most of the food for the needs of both Baranki and Baran, as well as the tourist industry, was produced within their own home, the municipality of Bar. All of this is supported by the current situation when numerous countries, including Montenegro, are facing a shortage of certain foods due to external factors and their high prices", said Čović.
He added that Montenegro is one of the rare countries that almost never uses international funds, both for the development of the economy and agriculture.
As he says, this should, to the greatest extent possible, start from the local level, by the local self-governments.
"Therefore, the Social Democrats will insist that the new local government take much more account of this segment of the development of Bar's economy. Bar is a city of numerous potentials, and one of them is certainly the potential for the development of private entrepreneurship," Cović said.
According to him, Bar has all the conditions for successful entrepreneurs to live, work and create there, and it only takes a little to make it so.
"Through the mentioned measures, we can achieve that. A rich Bar also means rich Baranka and Barane, and the precondition for that is support for our fellow citizens to develop their own, successful business", Čović concluded.
