The Municipality of Bar does not have an inventory of its immovable property, which means that it does not have data on the surface area of the land at its disposal, its culture and class, planning status, registered encumbrances, nor about what of that land has been usurped and in what way.
This was said by Zorica Krsmanović, a candidate for councilor on the "SNP- Temeljno za Bar" electoral list.
"In order to manage his property, every good householder must know what he is managing," she said, according to the announcement of the Socialist People's Party.
A responsible and conscientious property owner is obliged, as she said, to take care of it and not to allow its illegal use.
"The municipality of Bar does not have data on buildings in its ownership, nor on separate parts of buildings (residential and commercial). In the territory of Bar, a large number of apartments and business premises, as well as a significant area of land, are registered in the cadastre as the property of an "unknown owner", so the question arises as to how the Municipality of Bar collects taxes from these properties," she said.
Krsmanović told the citizens that the property of the Municipality of Bar is their property, and the local administration is obliged to take care of it.
According to him, the income from that property is the income of the citizens of Bar, which the local administration should dispose of in their interest.
"The Municipality of Bar does not have a social housing strategy. Defining and implementing the strategy would enable solving housing issues not only for persons in social need, but also for young married couples, single parents and parents with children with special needs," Krsmanović said.
He adds that the government in Bar is fighting for decentralization, accusing the state government of insufficient implementation of infrastructure projects, while at the local level it behaves extremely centralist, investing in the city center and neglecting the wider area of the municipality.
"The bar is the house of all of us, in which we all have to feel good, we have to know what we have in it, and what we don't have we should create together, responsibly and rationally. And a house is built from the ground up", concluded Krsmanović.
