It is the right time to stop the practice in which a prerequisite for any job in local and state administration is political affiliation, in which DPS (Democratic Party of Socialists) cadres are leading the way, announced Jakov Milatović, holder of the Europe Now Movement list in the local elections in Podgorica. "More than a third of young people still believe that a membership card of one of the parties is necessary for success in Montenegro. They allowed our city to be led by an unconstitutional mayor whose position was given an opinion by the Constitutional Court," Milatović pointed out in a statement.
He added that the key reference of the current mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković, was his closeness with influential members of the DPS.
"Although he says that he became mayor thanks to his academic references, Podgorica, but also the whole of Montenegro, knows that Mr. Vuković's key reference was his closeness to influential members of the DPS. Unfortunately, the current unconstitutional mayor and vice-president of the DPS, during his term of office, showed that was a party soldier and that he continued with the practice of systematically collapsing Podgorica, which was started by his predecessors - both of whom were prosecuted by the relatively captive prosecutor's office," said Milatović.
He said that unfortunately, he also survived what most young people in Montenegro survived.
"I am also one of those who did not find employment in Montenegro due to political ineligibility. After completing my studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Montenegro with an average grade of 10, as a student of the generation, I failed to get a job as an associate solely because I was not politically eligible For this reason, I not only understand the young people in Montenegro, but also feel the responsibility that it is necessary for my team and I to do our best to eradicate the mentioned practice and to change Montenegro for the better. We are a significant step in that direction. already done - it is clear to everyone that 450 euros is more than the 222 euros we had and that was actually the first step towards healing our society and the systemic collapse that has been carried out by the DPS for decades," said Milatović.
He said that the Europe Now Movement is a movement of free, honest, brave and competent people who decided to get involved politically because of the huge dissatisfaction of the citizens.
"Unlike parties whose representatives just talk and make false promises before the elections, we have proven that we are a Movement that not only keeps its word, but also achieves results. Those for whom it is natural to run for any job with a membership card instead biography, let them stay at home in the upcoming elections. Those who are not satisfied, and I believe there are many of them, should go out and vote for Podgorica, where expertise and knowledge are important, not a party booklet," said Milatović.
