Resigning Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic (GP URA) announced yesterday from the Assembly that at the next session of the Security and Defense Committee, they will reveal the names of people and companies connected with cigarette smuggling in Montenegro.
At the hearing before the Committee on the topic of events in the security sector related to smuggling and diplomacy, he again accused Milo Đukanović's Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) of being the political patron of smugglers.
He announced that the two governments, formed after the change of the three-decade DPS regime two years ago, confiscated five times more cigarettes than Djukanović's party during the entire time in power.
"I will also tell you the license plates of the trucks, and the names of the companies... In those contacts, you will see if there is a son Vesne Medenica (Milos Medenica) and the people around him. That is the question I am asking publicly. We cannot throw all our efforts and work at the feet of people like (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense) Raško Konjevića, (MP of DPS) Peđo Bošković or anyone from the DPS who has a political interest in protecting these people," Abazović pointed out.
Speaking about the Government's decision to dismiss the Acting Director of the National Security Agency (ANB) Sava Kenter, the Prime Minister said that it is necessary to determine what the results of the ANB are in the fight against crime, but that he believes that the role of the service in this is overemphasized.
Kentera was dismissed at the end of last week at the initiative of Abazović, who said that he was not satisfied with his work. Abazović's party colleague Milosevic works, previously publicly linked Kentera to smuggling.
The control hearing of the head of the Government, the security sector and the prosecutor's office was proposed by the President of the Committee Milan Knezevic (DF).
Abazovic's accusations and evaluations were opposed by DPS MP Bošković, saying that it is worrying that there were changes in ANB after the agency, as he stated, discovered affairs related to cigarette smuggling and espionage. With Kentera's dismissal, according to him, activity that could lead to Abazović or his closest associates was cut off.
"You should, Mr. Abazović, to turn off your emotions and give an answer - why your member of the party presidency (Milošević), who was the director of the Revenue and Customs Administration, was taken into custody in the case of smuggling, and whether there is a connection between him and what was being done," emphasized Bošković. .
On the other hand, one of the leaders of the DF Andrija Mandic he repeated that he welcomes Abazović's efforts in the fight against smuggling, stating that, according to that association, DPS leader Đukanović is at the top of the pyramid in this business.
He asked the leaders of the prosecution, who attended the session, whether Abazović had provided them with enough information to indict those who participated in the smuggling.
"Small fish should not fall, but rotten boards should be found in the judiciary... Abazović is a victim of the campaign that was conducted against DF, that we are a Russian and Serbian player. And when you bring the story back, you'll see the connection Milan Rocen with those structures..." Mandić stressed.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ranko Krivokapic he said that crimes against the constitutional order are the most serious, that organized crime comes after that, and that these crimes are connected.
"That's why great Russia and great Serbia and aid to those projects are bigger crimes than organized crime," he underlined.
Krivokapić said that Abazović should not have removed Konjević from the head of the Bureau for Operational Coordination, while the prime minister's party colleague Milošević is suspected of being involved in cigarette smuggling.
Yesterday, apart from Abazović, the committee was supposed to hear Konjević, Kentera, Krivokapić, the Minister of Internal Affairs Filip Adžić, Director of the Police Administration Zoran Brđanin, Acting Supreme State Prosecutor Maja Jovanovic and the chief special prosecutor Vladimir Novović.
Since Konjević, Kentera and Brđanin did not come to the parliament, after Abazović's hearing, the session was adjourned, the continuation of which, as announced by the President of the Committee, will be determined later.
The part of the session where the leaders of the prosecution and the police will be heard will be held in the so-called deaf room.
ANB participated in the seizure of half a ton of cocaine
ANB participated in an international action to seize narcotics, in which about half a ton of cocaine was seized - "Vijesti" learns. According to the same information, the drugs were seized on a ship that was intercepted on the route from South America to Australia.
"Vijesti" was told that several members of the international criminal network were arrested.
Prime Minister Abazović announced yesterday, after the meeting of the Committee, that the public will be informed about the action of "international character" in which ANB participated.
The acting director of ANB, Kentera, announced last night, reacting to Abazović's statement, that it was clear to everyone that the action of that service could not be carried out in one day, because the new director (Boris Milić) had just been appointed.
