Gogić: We will return what was taken to Pivljani

Transition, privatization, and above all bad management of the local self-government led Piva to the point that instead of the 2.300 employed in the economy, as many as there used to be, now there are less than 2.300 permanent residents, said the holder of the "Let's go people" list in Plužine. Novica Gogić. The list consists of Democratic Montenegro and the Democratic Serbian Party.

"In Montenegro, and in Plužine, power is in the hands of one man. Unfortunately, the previous practice was that the government was in the hands of individuals, and that the citizens were their service. With the new way of management, local self-government, its president and municipal services will be at the service of citizens. In the past 30 years, Piva and Pivljani have been left without much," said Gogić for "Vijesti".

He says that these are the Electrode Factory in Plužine, the sawmill in Brezne, the farm "Bajo Pivljanin" in Pišče, the hatcheries and ponds in Stabne, the intercity transport between Plužine and Nikšić, as well as village schools.

"The saddest thing is that we ran out of people. Plužine remained without a regular president of the municipality and without a regular assembly, its president and councilors. That's why we will change everything, and we will change it by returning local self-government to the citizens", said Gogić.

He pointed out that through the Secretariat for Agriculture and Tourism they plan to improve and connect those two activities, then better valorization of natural resources, an easier and simpler way to obtain non-returnable financial support, both from international funds, the Ministry of Agriculture, and from local self-government.

"We plan to allocate EUR 600.000 per year in non-refundable funds from the budget of the Municipality of Plužine for the development of agriculture, tourism, wood processing, fishing, handicrafts, scientific and IT activities... We plan to strengthen the non-governmental sector by allocating more financial resources for their projects," said Gogić. .

There are also many infrastructure projects, and in order for Piva, according to him, to valorize its potential in the right way, it will reinstate the local tourist organization.

According to Gogić, the priority is the waste water treatment collector, then the sports hall, the aqua park, the city market, the pond in Stabne...

He said that by removing business barriers and various benefits provided for domestic economic entities, new jobs will be created and conditions will be created for attracting direct foreign investments.

"We must create conditions for the creation of new jobs in the woodworking and craft sector."

He pointed out that they are planning the opening of a local TV studio, numerous cultural and sports events, scholarships for students, artists and talented athletes who build their careers outside of Plužine, twice as much allowance for newborns, free medicine and transportation for the oldest citizens, as well as the procurement of basic foodstuffs at the lowest prices, and for the most vulnerable, free delivery of basic foodstuffs, permanent financial assistance for beneficiaries of benefits for farmers and pensioners with the lowest incomes.

Great attention will also be paid to environmental protection and ecology.

"We have an excellent and feasible program, experience, young educated people, who are here in Piva, there are also those who are here in Piva, but they were not given the opportunity to work, we also have a considerable number of those who want to return to Piva, and direct their knowledge and experience for the development of Piva and a better life for all Piv residents", said Gogić.

In the previous elections, the Democrats ran independently and won four council mandates.
