The President of the Democratic Party of Socialists and the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, announced that he is convinced that we will have early parliamentary elections in Montenegro in the next three months.
He pointed out that Montenegro needs a political revolution, which, he says, will stop the deterioration of Montenegro.
Đukanović said at the main convention of the Plav coalition for local elections "Together victorious for Plav", which consists of SD, DPS and SDP, that the current crisis is political, security, institutional, financial and economic.
He emphasized, as stated in the joint statement of the "Together victorious for Blue" coalition, that Montenegro is experiencing the most difficult crisis in the recent history of Montenegro, which began in 2015, which, he says, was induced by those centers that do not like the European and civic Montenegro, and which began its culmination after the parliamentary elections in 2020.
"I am convinced that in three months at the latest we will have early parliamentary elections in Montenegro. Also, I am sure that these parliamentary elections are taking place today, we have victory in our pocket. It remains of course that we improve this certain victory in the meantime and create conditions for more efficient governance "Montenegro, which would not struggle with a thin majority. And before that, it is important to do a good job in the local elections," Đukanović pointed out.
He stated that the current crisis is both political and security, institutional, financial and economic.
"It is a vile aggression that wanted to take Montenegro out of the European and Euro-Atlantic political constellation and return it, through the lobby of the so-called "Open Balkan" economic program, to Great Serbia, under the security umbrella of Great Russia," said Đukanović.
The security crisis, as he says, was reflected in the first period in the new government's efforts to "compromise" Montenegro as a NATO member country through, as he adds, the uncontrolled outflow of security data, and during the last period, they watched the new government's "desperate attempts" to completely dismantle of the security system, including ANB as the most important institution of the security system, "preserve the agency Serbian-Russian network" in Montenegro and protect the representatives of the new government from their "criminal misdeeds".
As he added, the new government was compromised by scandals related to criminal activities that it had announced to suppress.
"They were making a big fuss about how they were going to deal with criminality and corruption, and as soon as we scratched the surface a little, we saw that they actually developed systemic crime. What the ANB discovered and why its top had to be cut, showed that it is about organized crime in the center of the Montenegrin state. They also promoted themselves as someone in charge of establishing the rule of law, so their rule of law was reduced to arresting and persecuting their political dissidents," said Đukanović.
Đukanović, speaking about the institutional crisis in Montenegro, said that there is evidently an "evil intention" to make Montenegro a dysfunctional state.
"It has been shown that the current parliamentary majority is not able to elect the VDT, just as bad intentions have been shown by not filling the Judicial Council and not electing judges of the Constitutional Court," Đukanović said.
He pointed out that this, together with the disorderly situation in the security sector, clearly shows that it is a bad intention to portray Montenegro as dysfunctional.
He added that Montenegro is also in a bad state economically.
"As a man who led the government seven times, I can assure you that I am not exaggerating when I say that the public finances of Montenegro are on the verge of bankruptcy," said Đukanović.
According to him, they can only try to cover it up, but, as he points out, unskillfully, since unbearably high consumption was created, but not investments.
"If that spending was focused on investments, everyone would welcome it. But here we are only talking about inflated spending that has no basis in the creation of a social product in the country, and to all that we should add the shutdown of all key companies in Montenegro and the halting of foreign investments as well and investment from the Budget. The economic fabric of Montenegro has been systematically destroyed," Đukanović announced.
As he said, many complained that the Democratic Party of Socialists looked too calmly at the activities of the new government structure, but that, as he said, it was actually a demonstration of political maturity and responsibility towards the interests of Montenegro.
"We saw the quality of that government, but we also knew that after many years of continuity of one government, the Montenegrin public has the right to check what new things have to be offered to Montenegro. The transfer of power in 2020 was approached with the confidence that those who have been in power for 30 years will we waited for our chance, now we have to take advantage of that chance, and we got incompetence and irresponsibility towards state interests", Đukanović pointed out.
Đukanović, as stated, finally referred to the state of growing nationalistic and other social tensions.
"The nationalists have raised their heads again. They believe that what is happening on the global stage through the aggravation between the East and the West, and especially in the light of the Russian aggression against Ukraine, opens a new chance for them. They did not conclude that the nationalist policies definitely failed in the nineties, but that they did not succeed then because the environment was unfavorable, and that a new chance is now being created for them. It is up to all of us to defend not only DPS, SDP, SD, but also national parties responsible for the state, because that is actually the most powerful dam of civic Montenegro Worse than encroaching nationalism", concluded Đukanović.
As announced, in addition to Đukanović, the president of the Social Democrats Damir Šehović, honorary president of the Social Democratic Party Ranko Krivokapić, list holder Nihad Canović, as well as candidates for councilors Fazlija Krcić and Sulejman Dešić also spoke at the convention.
Šehović said that the Coalition "Together Victorious for Blue" will convincingly win the local elections, as well as in numerous other municipalities.
This, as he said, will be the beginning of the end of the "worst" government at the state level in the history of Montenegro, which in the last two and a half years has "destroyed" everything it got its hands on.
The Coalition "Together Victorious for Blue" announced that Šehović added that the irresponsible state government promised freedom and gave "primitivism, chauvinism and clero-nationalism".
"Promised reconciliation, but gave discord, promised the European Union, but gave disappointment in Brussels, promised economic recovery, and gave the highest unemployment rate since the restoration of independence and public finances on the verge of bankruptcy," added Šehović.
He said that Plavo is sending a message of unity and harmony, which, as he says, in the difficult times that Montenegro is going through, is more necessary than ever.
However, he points out that above all, they clearly and loudly announce that they will win the local elections convincingly, and that the holder of their list, Nihad Canović, together with his team of people, will continue to lead the Municipality of Plav in the next four years and work, as he says, responsibly and honestly for the welfare of all citizens, regardless of political, national or religious affiliation.
Plav, as he said, has had enough of divisions and pre-election disputes, thanks to the "Together victorious for Plav" coalition, that city, as he points out, has never been more united and united around the common good.
As he added, the results of the current local government, led by SD, guarantee future successes.
Speaking about government at the state level, Šehović recalled the devastating results achieved in the previous two and a half years.
"Perhaps we could forgive them for closing the doors of the European Union to us, for blocking almost all the important institutions of this country, for leaving behind disastrous results in the field of economy, but one thing benevolent, civil and civil Montenegro will never forgive them for. , will not forgive them for hitting the fundamental values of this country, for trying to destroy inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony, for trying to destroy the civil and secular being of Montenegro," Šehović concluded.
That is why, as he says, such an irresponsible government will certainly be replaced after the parliamentary elections that will be held soon.
Šehović claims that both in Plav and in Montenegro, they will know how to preserve the foundations of the state, which, as he says, have been hit.
Krivokapić said that the numerically small Plav is actually the bigger Montenegro, as well as that the young people from Plav have the strength to create the future.
"I recently saw how small Plav veja Montenegro is in places that are considered the most important in the world. When you go to Manhattan and see that a hundred restaurants are run by people from Plav, Gusin, Albanians, Bosniaks, and they all have one name - Montenegro, then you it's clear how great Blue is. Succeeding where it's most difficult shows that we have to do better. We were wrong, because if we weren't, other people's evil wouldn't have become a domestic pain. But the bigger ones inevitably make mistakes, and our strength is not admitting defeat and refusing to stop ", said Krivokapić.
He said that they have the strength to return Montenegro to the European path from where it slipped - in the nineties.
"They want to go back, and we want to go forward, to the European Union as soon as possible. That's why we gathered here, because when someone else's evil strikes, we can only be together. And right here in Plav, we confirm unity and a free Montenegro, which once and for all it should finish the referendums and be independent until the end and forever, with a government that is not someone else's but serves this people. Thank you for being an unconquered Montenegro," said Krivokapić.
