Krapović accuses the DF of pressuring members of the Democrats to leave the party

Dragan Krapović, the holder of the "Let's go people - Democrats - Demos" list in Budva, said that the members and sympathizers of the Democrats were exposed to "unprecedented pressure" from the Democratic Front (DF), and cited the case of Bojan Šumar, an employee of the Budva Municipal Company.

"This campaign is taking place in a relatively peaceful atmosphere, which makes me particularly happy. However, some things happen to which we cannot remain silent. Bojan Šumar has been a member of the Budva Democrats municipal board since the very beginning. In this campaign, unfortunately, from our political opponents, and especially from the Democratic Front, we are exposed to unprecedented pressure on our members, sympathizers, and our people on the list. That's how Mr. Šumar found himself invited first by Mr. Voj Pićan, a DF activist from Grblje, and then by Mr. Mladen Mikijelj, director of JP 'Morsko dobro'," said Krapović at a press conference, today in front of the Communal Enterprise building.

He emphasized that Pićan and Mikijelj "tried to pressure Šumar to leave the municipal board and publicly join the Democratic Front, as a kind of pre-election ground manipulation".

"Of course, they did not succeed in that, nor can they succeed when it comes to the Democrats in Budva. I publicly call on them to give up such low-level pressure on the voters and the citizens of Budva. After they failed on two occasions to transfer Šumar to DF, according to his position in the Communal Company, Mr. Predrag Ivanović, acting director, waited for him and changed the vacation decision he had received months ago and sent him on forced vacation with the message that . if he stays after the election, and we will do our best not to stay at any cost, not to come to work because he won't have a job," said Krapović.

He stated that they felt such pressures in earlier years from some other political subjects against whom they fought together with the DF.

"Today, we in Budva will not tolerate that primitive, down-to-earth matrix and such behavior of the arrogant semi-literate cadres of the DF. That is why I call on all citizens to go to the elections peacefully, not to succumb to pressure and not to accept threats. When you enter the booth no one can know who you voted for. We are sending a clear message to our colleagues from DF to stop this shameful practice," Krapović said.
