Milo Đukanović says that as of August 30, 2020, the development of Žabljak was suddenly stopped. The development of Žabljak was not suddenly stopped, but systematically and for decades by the policies of Milo Đukanović, said Velibor Ostojić, the holder of the "True Montenegro Žabljak" list in the elections in that municipality on October 23.
In the statement of Prava Montenegro, he adds that Đukanović, as usual, again before the elections, promises to invest in roads and other projects in Žabljak and again expects the citizens to believe him in the story he has been repeating for 30 years.
"Djukanović here in Žabljak says that the potentials of the north have remained unused and that they represent a development opportunity. This he says after three decades of government in which he and his Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) devastated the potentials of the north, including Žabljak, and had three decades to the 'development opportunities' mentioned yesterday. The only opportunities that he and his people did not miss here in Žabljak are the chances to get rich at the expense of the local population, the chances to exploit natural resources, the chances to rig tenders, the chances that this people will move away because of his politics." pointed out Ostojić.
He says that it is unfortunate that in the 21st century, basic conditions for life do not exist in Žabljak.
"Many roads are still macadam and in very bad condition, difficult to pass even for off-road vehicles. Many villages have no water, so the citizens are left to fend for themselves in the struggle for survival, while the municipal officials from the DPS have completely forgotten about them." , he said.
He states that the fact that fewer and fewer children go to school in Žabljak, so that there are now only about twenty of them, is of particular concern.
"Citizens of Žabljak who love their hometown are forced to move in search of better living conditions, because the local government does not even try to solve their problems within its jurisdiction," Ostojić added.
Žabljak has great opportunities for development, he says, but these opportunities are not used to improve the living conditions of the citizens of Žabljak, because the party scumbags from the DPS and satellite parties think only of themselves.
"State President Milo Đukanović, understanding the 'high' politics here in Žabljak, said that the agony in the state will end with the holding of early parliamentary elections. Since we are talking about elections in Žabljak, the only thing that is certain is that the three-decade agony of Žabljak, which that time was led by the DPS, interrupted in these local elections when the party of Milo Đukanović in Žabljak goes into the political past, to which Prava Montenegro will make a great contribution," concluded Ostojić.
