Retired Prime Minister Dritan Abazović said today that he can no longer work with the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, Raško Konjević and Ranko Krivokapić, because they do not follow the Government's policy.
"Vijesti" announced that Abazović will submit a proposal to the Assembly today for the dismissal of Konjević and Krivokapić.
"They declare anything and everything, they do diplomacy and defense in their own way," Abazović told reporters after the session of the Security and Defense Committee.
He stated that the Government fulfills all obligations guaranteed by the Constitution.
"I think it's okay to propose that, because we don't know when we will have a new government. If we would have it in twenty days, this would be pointless. But like this, we cannot have in the diplomatic network people who represent the views of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS )", Abazovic said.
He stated that the question is whether the Assembly will dismiss Konjević and Krivokapić, adding that he would like the deputies to declare themselves as soon as possible, "because it would make it easier for us."
"If they are replaced, someone else will take over their duties. We have mechanisms, they should not slow us down and not represent the official policy of the Government. Given that the Government has lost confidence and we are moving towards a new one, I think that those two positions, as a coordinator, and cover people from the Government," said Abazović.
