Brčić: One of the biggest problems of Tivat is the lack of space for schools and kindergartens

We all already know that one of the biggest problems in our city is the lack of space for schools and kindergartens, said Marjan Brčić, a candidate for councilor of the Temelj for a better Tivat coalition.

"Here we are no longer talking only about the conditions for educational work or the comfort of students, but about the threatened safety and health of students and teachers who spend a good part of the day in them," said Brcic in a statement submitted by the civil movement URA.

Brcic points out that, "for years we have been hearing that the problem will be solved by upgrading the existing school, building a new school and kindergarten, but we do not see the implementation." As a citizen of Tivat, I wonder how far this pre-election promise has come in the last few election cycles".

He emphasizes that "it is time that every session of the municipal parliament starts with the item on the agenda "How far have we come with the construction of schools and kindergartens?".

He adds that if there are funds for the purchase of land for the construction of a residential building that solves the housing problems of citizens, which he welcomes as good and praiseworthy, why can't the same practice be repeated for the construction of school and kindergarten buildings.

"From the purchase of land, the development of the project, the construction of facilities and their use", he added.

Brcic says that "the goal of the people who gathered around the list "FOUNDATION FOR A BETTER TIVAT" is to put this issue on paper, to finally determine the location for the construction of energy-efficient school and kindergarten buildings, and to finally proceed with their construction.

"We expect that this issue will not be the subject of the next election campaign. Education is the foundation of every society, so let's strengthen the foundation for a better Tivat together!", Brcic concluded.
