Holder of the "Let's go people" coalition electoral list Danilo Šaranović he announced that he would the new government in Podgorica, of which, as he believes, they will be a pillar, open the doors of the Capital City for all citizens and that local communities will no longer be party points of any party.
The coalition consists of Democratic Montenegro, United Montenegro and Demos.
Will the capital help poor citizens and in what way, considering that a bigger economic crisis is being announced?
The capital city will experience fundamental changes at all levels, immediately after the change of government. This means a full focus on citizens, and not on clientelistic and tycoon networks, which is synonymous with the current government, which we are replacing in 10 days. On the contrary, we will promote a full focus on every citizen of Podgorica, especially those who are in dire need of support. We will approach the creation of a special fund to help vulnerable families, but the capital will also provide special support in the form of subsidizing communal and other services that are in the domain of the city administration.
How will the city services stop being the electoral base of the ruling parties?
In the future, city services and companies founded by the Capital City will function with the aim of providing the best services to all citizens of Podgorica, and not for the purpose of any party. This is what we promise to the citizens, and local government employees will work in an environment that guarantees full political independence, because this is a prerequisite for achieving maximum productivity and what is the mission of each of them, which is to serve every citizen of Podgorica, not privileged centers of power .
How do you plan to solve the urban disorder in the Capital City?
We will insist and ask for a revision of the complete planning documentation in the entire territory of Podgorica, and put all planning documents that are against the public interest out of legal force. The "LET'S GO PEOPLE" coalition will be the strongest guarantor that the area will never be planned again in the interest of construction and tycoon profiteers, which has been devastated in most of the urban city area. We are going to develop Podgorica to the standards of a modern European city.
With which parties would you possibly form a post-election coalition?
It is now certain that our list will guarantee that political changes will occur in Podgorica as well, after more than 30 years. This means that there will be no place in the new government for anyone who harmed Podgorica, as well as its image as a city that will be a symbol of the civilizational values of the modern world.
What does the coalition you lead offer the citizens of Podgorica and why should they vote for you?
Our coalition with me at the head offers an extended hand to every citizen of Podgorica, who wants to protect and develop the city with us exclusively according to the citizen, because the citizen is the exclusive focus of our policy. We owe nothing to anyone, except the citizens of Podgorica, to whom we owe everything. This implies full independence and immunity in relation to any center of power, whether from the world of politics or the world of crime. With that, Podgorica ends on October 23. On the other hand, the citizens of Podgorica know that the people on our list, who are recognized as reputable and proven in their professions, are the ones who will fulfill everything that our program that we have offered them, which contains solutions for all the problems that have been accumulated for decades.
What, in your opinion, are the main problems in the capital?
The key problem is the construction devastation of space, traffic infrastructure, both in the inner city core and in the suburbs, missing schools and kindergartens. The issue of urban transport must finally be solved in a sustainable way, and one of the first steps will be a tram line from the Old Airport to Tolos. The issue of wastewater treatment plants, atmospheric and fecal sewage in most of the city, replacement of the water supply network must also be urgently addressed, so that citizens in the 21st century do not get drinking water through cancerous asbestos pipes.
If you win power, what will be your first steps to accelerate the development of the Capital City?
The first step will be the depoliticization of all segments of the city government, where party politics should have no place. We will open the doors of the Capital City to all citizens, and the local communities will be led by them, so that they will never again be party points of any party, as they were before. The budget of citizens of Podgorica will be equally accessible to everyone, on an equal basis, and citizens will be enabled to fully participate in making decisions that concern them. We will build a city hospital, remove existing bike lanes to relieve traffic, and build a new system of bike lanes tailored to all road users. We will connect the Old Airport with the rest of the city by building a new underpass near Zmaj Jovina Street, but also find a solution for the final start of construction of Vojislavljević Boulevard in Zabjelo. We will reconstruct the city square with the construction of new garages in the city center, but also prohibit construction in the vicinity of Gorica and Ljubović. In short, we will return Podgorica to Podgorica and develop it according to the citizens.
We have offered solutions, we know how to realize them
We promised children's allowances for all children up to the age of 18 - we fulfilled them. We promised free textbooks for all primary school students - we delivered. We promised maternity benefits - we returned them. We promised higher wages and pensions - we increased them. We promised higher old-age benefits - and we increased them. We promised support to the economy due to the crisis - we provided it. It will be the same this time. We have offered sustainable solutions, and we know how to implement them.
