The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Danijela Đurović, met today in Belgrade with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vladimir Orlić. Đurović expressed her satisfaction that she is on her first official visit to Serbia as the president of the Montenegrin parliament, pointing out that it is very important for the further development of relations between the two countries.
After five years since the last visit of the President of the Montenegrin Parliament to Serbia, this meeting represents a good impulse in the direction of intensifying parliamentary cooperation, Đurović pointed out.
Pointing to the importance of cooperation between the parliaments of Montenegro and Serbia, as the closest countries connected by traditionally fraternal and friendly relations, Đurović and Orlić pointed out that they will work hard to fill in, or re-form friendship groups between the Parliament of Montenegro and the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
Đurović pointed out the importance of establishing cooperation between parliamentary services in order to ensure the exchange of knowledge, experience and information, which is important for improving the work of the two parliaments.
They agree that there are all prerequisites for deepening parliamentary and overall cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia, and that today's visit by the Montenegrin delegation can be considered a good start in the direction of further improvement of relations between the two friendly countries.
Đurović congratulated Mr. Orlić on his election as President of the National Assembly of Serbia and invited him to an official visit to Montenegro, assessing that it will be another significant step towards deepening the overall cooperation between Montenegro and Serbia.
As part of the visit, President Orlić and President Đurović laid wreaths on the monument to the liberators of Belgrade, on the eve of October 20 - Belgrade Liberation Day.
