The Social Democrats (SD) and the newspaper "Novo vrijeme za Bar - Branislav Bane Nenezić" are the guarantor that Bar will be civil and Montenegrin in the next four years, SD president Damir Šehović said at the convention.
"The most important thing is to ensure with our great result that Bar is civil and Montenegrin in the next four years, so that it does not fall into the hands of those who at the state level destroyed everything they touched," said Šehović.
It was announced from the SD that the holder of the list, Branislav Bane Nenezić, as well as the vice-presidents of that party, Danilo Orlandić and Boris Mugoša, spoke to the citizens at the convention. Mićo Orlandić and candidates for councilors addressed those present via video link.
"First we got a government that was led by clero-nationalism, and then we got a government that betrayed the national interests of this country. That's why both of them are former," Šehović said.
He said that "Civil Montenegro must correct itself".
"To say 'no' to political pests from the outgoing government at the state level, because in just two and a half years they managed to destroy everything that could be destroyed. This generation of new political leaders in Bar, headed by Banet Nenezić, has the obligation to preserve the social democratic the torch that has been burning in this city under Rumija for decades, and it is up to all of us to preserve our common home, Montenegro, and to return it to the path of development and progress," said Šehović, adding that SD "holds the keys" to the new local government in A bar.
"There is no local government in Bar without Social Democrats in it. Thanks to the excellent result we expect, we will be even more represented in the new city administration, so that we will be not only its stronger controller, but also a guarantor that it will work in the interest of all citizens of Bar. And all those who tried to attack our dignity when we were going through a complex phase, will get the answer they deserve," said Šehović.
List holder Branislav Bane Nenezić said that potential coalition partners must inherit the same values as the SD.
"Those who will share power with us and form a coalition must inherit the same values - civil Montenegro, which after two years of wandering needs to return to the path to the EU, and civil and prosperous Bar, which will be the initiator of changes. At this convention we are losing the victory, which will only be verified on Sunday evening, when the new time for the Bar begins. Because we decided to participate in the elections independently because of the awareness of the strength of the Bar committee of the SD, and the awareness that they are on the list of 'New time for At least, by far the best quality people," Nenezić said.
SD Vice President Boris Mugoša said that the social democratic idea is one of the foundations of Bar and that it has survived for decades in that city thanks to "people who sincerely love their city and civil, secular, anti-fascist and European Montenegro".
"Proud of the list and its holder Branislav Banet Nenezić, who enjoys great respect among his fellow citizens. SD will be one of the key factors of the future government in Bar and a partner of progressive, civil and European forces in activities aimed at its prosperity and the affirmation of inter-ethnic and inter-religious harmony, but and a corrective factor if it is not done that way," said Mugoša.
Danilo Orlandić, the vice-president of the SD, said that on October 23, "an excellent election result will be achieved", and that it is a privilege to be on the list led by Nenezić, who, as Orlandić stated, is the man who will lead Bar into a new , a better, and no doubt more prosperous city.
