The president of the Club of Bar Democrats, Momčilo Leković, said that the president of the Municipality of Bar, Dušan Raičević, is usurping municipal property, and that it is to be expected that the court will formalize the decision as soon as possible, as in the case of the mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vuković.
"After the Administrative Court, acting on the claim of the Democrats, annulled the decision of the Assembly of the Capital City, which elected Ivan Vuković as mayor on July 5, it is to be expected that in the next few days it will make the same decision in the case against Dusan Raičević, who has been presenting himself illegitimately for a few months as the first man of the city of Bar," he said.
"And not only that, during the period of the election campaign, this citizen disposes of municipal property and funds in a way that brutally subordinates them to the personal and interests of the party to which he belongs. Thus, allocations in the service of the President of the Municipality in just 6 days (from 10.10 to 16.10) reached an amount of almost 10 euros, most of which is for media presentation, advertising services, sponsorships and assistance. Also, according to established practice during the election campaign, municipal billboards were put to the function of citizen Raičević and his personal campaign," the statement added.
Leković reminded the public that on July 22, their committee club filed a lawsuit with the Administrative Court of Montenegro against the Bar Municipal Assembly in order to annul the Decision on the election of Dušan Raičević as President of the Municipality of Bar, and that the case is pending before that court under the number U. no. 6376/22.
"On September 9, knowing how important it is to prevent the citizen Raičević from entering the election campaign as an illegitimate president of the Municipality, we submitted an urgent appeal to the Administrative Court, requesting urgent action in this case, all for the sake of protecting the public interest," said Leković.
The reasons for annulling the Decision on the election of Raičević, according to Leković, are even more significant than the reasons that were relevant for the annulment of the Decision on the election of Ivan Vuković.
"In this regard, the formality in the form of passing a verdict that will annul the aforementioned decision seems to be the only thing that can prevent further usurpation and abuse of municipal property by the citizen Raičević, i.e. the representative of the Coalition "Prava stvara Bar"", the announcement reads.
