"We will advocate for fair compensation to be paid to the true owners or return of ownership of the land," announced the electoral list "Dr. Božidar Vujičić - Civic Action - For a Better Budva".
They point out that during the mandate of the Democratic Party of Socialists, the state registered the land to the owners of the land in the "Morski Dobr" operation by official duty, without paying fair compensation.
Many owners of land in the marine property zone do not know that the state has registered their land, that is, many are taken aback by the fact that they are no longer listed as the owners of their land in the real estate deeds, according to the announcement.
They point out that "they are led as users, while the state is led as the owner".
As they claim, the Democrats and the Democratic Front had a six-year mandate to do something, in order to either pay the former owners a fair compensation for the land or return the ownership, but nothing was done in this regard.
They state that the citizens are put in a situation where they cannot dispose of their property, and that "in the decisions on the transfer of ownership to the state, the state authorities did not specify when they are obliged to pay for the land they registered to themselves".
"The association of notaries refuses to carry out the transfer of the right of use, the only right left to the true owners", they emphasize in the statement.
"We believe that these are illegal decisions, which was also established by the court in Strasbourg, in the Nešić v. Montenegro case," they conclude.
