The coalition of the Democratic Party of Socialists and the Social Democratic Party achieved the best result in the local elections in Bar. According to the data available last night, they won 36,3 percent of the votes. However, this is significantly less than the two parties won in separate appearances in the elections four years ago when they had 41,4 percent and less than the two parties had combined support in the Bar in the 2020 parliamentary elections when they had together 40,5 percent.
The next strongest political group in Bar is the coalition of Democratic Montenegro, Europe Now and United Montenegro. They won 18,5 percent of the vote. In the previous local elections, the Democrats participated in a coalition with the Civic Movement URA and won 11,5 percent, while in the parliamentary elections in Bar they had the support of 11 percent.
The Democratic Front significantly improved the result compared to the last election and now they had 12 percent of the vote, while previously in the coalition with the Socialist People's Party they had 6,4 percent. In the 2020 parliamentary elections, the coalition "For the Future of Montenegro" had the support of as much as 25,75 percent. In these elections, the SNP remained below the census with two percent of the votes won.
The Social Democrats won 9,8 percent, which is a drastic drop from 18,3 percent in the previous elections, but an increase compared to the support in Bar in the parliamentary elections when they had 9,44 percent. The URA civil movement in coalition with Albanian Alternative and Civis won 9,2 percent, which is 2,3 percent less than in the previous elections, when they appeared in coalition with the Democrats. In the parliamentary elections, URA had six percent of support in Bar, and the Albanian Alternative had 0,3 percent.
The Biram Bar list experienced a big drop Radomir Novaković Cakan which won 5,5 percent, although in the previous elections they had 12,3 percent.
The Bosniak party managed to improve the result to 4,1 percent, previously they had 3,9 percent of votes in the local elections. However, in the 2020 parliamentary elections in Bar, they had 4,3 percent of the vote.
The Party of Justice and Reconciliation remained below the census with 0,6 percent of the vote, as well as Prava Montenegro which had 1,9 percent, and in the previous local elections it had 3,1 percent and one councilor in SO Bar.
The Right Coalition (DPS, SDP LP) thus won 15 mandates, and the "Idemo ljudi" party won eight. The Democratic Front (DF) will have five councilors in the local parliament, and three each from Novo vrijeme for Bar and Može Bar.
The Biram Bar - Radomir Novaković Cakan list won two mandates, and the Bosniak Party won one mandate.
The Socialist People's Party, Prava Crna Gora, and the list for future generations will not have representatives in the Bar parliament.
List Holder "The Real Thing Together Bar" Dušan Raičević he said that he can confirm with certainty that their coalition together with their partners will be the winner of the local elections in Bar.
Raičević announced that their election result was 1.000 votes better than after the 2018 election.
"At least he saved face. This is a confirmation that for the past four years we worked hard and dedicatedly with joint forces and went in the direction of solving the problems of our fellow citizens."
Holder of the list "Let's go, people Democratic, European, united for Bar" Dragan Tufegdzic he said that the coalition around the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) did not win the elections in Bar.
Tufegdžić said that the results and the mandates won are not known until the end.
"In our coalition agreement, we emphasized that we will not negotiate or make agreements with DPS alone. We have 38, 39, 40 percent on one side and 60 on the other. We will extend a hand to all those who love Bar and Montenegro. These are our partners here, but also colleagues from the opposition. Our hand has been extended," said Tufegdžić.
He said that they can celebrate in DPS, but that they will also celebrate tonight.
"We are already winners, and we will see what will happen in the following days", he concluded.
I believe that a new majority in this city will be formed in a new combinatory, said the leader of the "Može Bar" coalition led by the URA Civic Movement. Goran Đurović.
Đurović said that they are more than satisfied with the election result, and that it is evident that the electoral changes that began on August 30 have continued.
"You saw a big decline in DPS, which lost power in many cities. Circumstances will certainly be imagined by some parties that have been in coalition with DPS until now," said Đurović.
Holder of the list "New time for Bar" in the local elections in Bar Branislav Nenezić he said that it turned out that the government in Bar cannot be formed without the Social Democrats (SD).
In Bar, 39.854 citizens had the right to vote.
