The Social Democratic Party (SDP) supports the demands of all political subjects who demand an urgent shortening of the mandate of the Assembly and the calling of parliamentary elections, after which Montenegro must get a stable and unquestionably European Government, announced the general secretary of the SDP, Ivan Vujović.
He said that urgent extraordinary parliamentary elections are needed in order to stop "further collapse of institutions, lawlessness and unconstitutional actions" which, as stated by Vujović, is carried out almost on a daily basis by the replaced government and the replaced prime minister.
"The Technical Government is currently led by two disappearing parties who, after blocking the country's EU path, destabilized the country, and with their actions led to never-greater divisions in society and compromised Montenegro regionally and internationally, so every day of the technical existence of this Government is a big damage to democracy and state stability.
"That is why the SDP supports the demands of all those political subjects who demand an urgent shortening of the Parliament's mandate and the calling of parliamentary elections, after which Montenegro must get a stable and unquestionably European Government. Such a Government will not, like this technical Abazović's, be managed by the Democratic Front for other people's interests, but by the Government dedicated to the state interests of European and civil Montenegro.
"Removing from positions of power those who behave in an usurping manner and flagrantly violate laws, the Constitution and basic democratic standards must be the priority of all those who, regardless of political differences, have tied their political fate to Montenegro and want to work in their own interests and not other countries," concluded Vujović.
