The Coalition "For the Future of Šavnik" today filed a criminal complaint against several persons to the Special State Prosecutor's Office (SDT) for "abuses during the registration of fictitious residence" in that municipality and attempts, as they state, to exercise "non-belonging voting rights based on such fictitious registration".
"More than 330 people have 'immigrated' to the Municipality of Šavnik during the last months, and misled the competent authorities regarding their real residence. This 'electoral tourism' represents an increase in the voting body by almost 20 percent, and was carried out solely for the purpose of voting at local elections. elections," the announcement states.
They said that the law that defines the registers of residence and place of residence very clearly stipulates that: "Residence is a place on the territory of Montenegro where a Montenegrin citizen has settled with the intention of living there permanently, and which is the center of his life activities and with which he has a permanent connection ", and that "residence is the place and address where a Montenegrin citizen temporarily resides."
"Since the suspected persons neither live nor plan to live in Šavnik, and do not even stay there temporarily, but only once - for the need to vote for the outgoing DPS, it is clear that the competent authority was deliberately misled during voter registration.
"As it has been indisputably established that the majority of apartment owners at the addresses where these fake voters are registered - do not know the concerned at all - it is clear that there is a classic abuse and misleading of all authorities, including those for the implementation of the elections," the announcement states.
The coalition "For the future of Šavnik" said that Šavnik and its residents will not allow "registries and registrations of residence to be manipulated for the sake of remaining in power of the outgoing DPS", and that the coalition will "continue to uncover abuses" and report them to prosecutors and prosecutors. to the police.
"We call on citizens to also report all abuses with fake voters, so that the rule of law and fair elections are the basis for further political action," the announcement concludes.
