The match in Petrovac is a demonstrative exercise for the future that awaits us with people who are persistently trying to destroy everything that is civil, said the president of the Budva board of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), Milan Tičić.
He said that DPS condemns every form of violence and discrimination in Montenegro, which rests on democracy and diversity.
The players and coaching staff of Jezera from Plav were exposed to insults at the match of the 1st Montenegrin Football League on Saturday in Petrovac, and one of the coaches was allegedly hit.
"The match in Petrovac where the players from Blue were attacked clearly shows that in the future there will be no place in Montenegro for anyone of a different religion or nation. The victory of DF in Budva magically covered by a peaceful campaign is already giving us the first results - divisions.
"It is scandalous that none of the competent authorities in Montenegro reacted to the playing of nationalist songs, beatings and provocations to which the players from Plav were exposed. The message is clear, this is how anyone who declares himself differently from those who won the local elections in Budva," announced Tičić.
He believes that there will soon be similar scenes in Podgorica as well.
"We can only imagine the cataclysm that would occur in the state if the same echelon won power at the state level. The match in Petrovac is a demonstrative exercise for the future that awaits us with people who are persistently trying to destroy everything that is civil," said Tičić.
