Participants in the October 23 election, whose complaints about election irregularities were rejected by the State Election Commission (SEC), still have time to file appeals with the Constitutional Court, which due to the lack of a quorum can indefinitely postpone the announcement of the final results, "Vijesta" was informed by several sources.

So far, there are no appeals before the Constitutional Court regarding the regularity of the elections in Podgorica, while three have been filed from Budva, Plav and Danilovgrad.

Yesterday, the State Election Commission (SEC) rejected, as unfounded, all 13 objections that were submitted to the decisions of the municipal election commissions in Podgorica, Danilovgrad, Pljevlja, Kolašin and Budva. "They have a period of 48 hours to appeal to the Constitutional Court from the moment we deliver the solutions to them," the SEC told "Vijesti".

The SEC states that they are working on solutions and that they can be delivered to the complainants during today, when the deadline for the appeal to the Constitutional Court begins.

After the SEC rejected their nine objections, the list holder of the Svetosava party in the elections in Podgorica, Mirko Rmandic threatened to appeal to the Constitutional Court, if one of the leaders of the Democratic Front (DF) Andrija Mandic don't apologize publicly. He claims that DF bribed their people and "organized whisper diversions".

Since the current mayor was re-elected right before the election Ivan Vukovic (DPS), whose coalition did not receive majority support in the elections to form the government, the constitutional appeal would mean that he remains at the head of Podgorica until the decision of the US, which lacks at least one judge to decide.

Jakov Milatovic, the holder of the list of the Europe now movement, invited the holders of the list to gather around the DF, Democrats and GP URA, to talks about the formation of a new government in the capital. He suggested that it be tomorrow.

The Constitutional Court informed "Vijesta" that after election day they received one complaint, which was submitted on October 27 by the newspaper "Dr Bozidar Vujicic - Civil action - For a better Budva". Vujičić, who did not pass the census in the elections in Budva, complained about the violation of voting rights due to the absence of open lists. Budva is managed by the DF, which also received the majority of citizens' support in the elections.

Before the Constitutional Court are two more appeals against SEC decisions, filed before election day. On October 4, the Democratic Alliance of Albanians (DSA) filed an appeal against the decisions of the SEC rejecting the appeal, and thus the list of this party for participation in the local elections in Plav. The second appeal is related to the elections in Danilovgrad, and it is, as previously told to "Vijesti" from the SEC, of ​​a procedural nature.

The Constitutional Court is obliged by law to act urgently on appeals related to elections.

SEC rejected 13 objections, one from GI "21. may"

Of the 13 objections, which were rejected by the SEC yesterday, eight were from Podgorica, seven of them from voters, and one from the Citizens' Initiative "21. May". All eight, as confirmed by the SEC, were rejected as unfounded.

The objection from Pljevlja was submitted by the Right Thing coalition (DPS, BS, SD, SDP) and was rejected, as was the objection from Danilovgrad, submitted by one of the voters.

The state commission also rejected two complaints from Kolašin, which were submitted by the municipal board of DPS Kolašin, as well as a complaint from Budva, which was submitted by Civic Action Dr. Božidar Vujičić, which was also rejected as unfounded.

The saga surrounding the election in Šavnik can continue for a long time

In the Law on the Election of Councilors and Members of Parliament, as explained to "News" from the SEC, there are no legal restrictions until when the elections in Šavnik can be repeated.

The elections in that city were not finished even on Sunday, because, just like seven days ago, the members of the polling committees from the "For the Future of Šavnik" coalition did not allow the voters who, they claim, were brought in from the sidelines by the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) to vote. preserved power.

Voting was held at five polling stations on Sunday, but it was completed at only two, which is why the police filed several criminal charges against people who prevented people from voting who, they claim, do not know as residents of Šavnik.
