Democratic Montenegro MP Vladimir Martinović called on the Government to make Monday, November 14, a non-working day, on the occasion of the national holiday - Njegoš Day, which is celebrated the day before, on Sunday.
According to the Law on State and Other Holidays, Njegos Day is celebrated for one day, on the day of the holiday. Amendments to that law, which declared November 13 a cultural holiday, were proposed by the Democrats last year.
Martinović pointed out that "for the first time they passed a law on Njegoš" and that the state has a "very important obligation" to repay Njegoš in the best way.
"I call on the Government to urgently declare Monday a non-working day," Martinović pointed out, saying that this would show a responsible attitude.
The Deputy President of the Assembly Branka Bošnjak, who presides over today's session, joined the appeal of the Democrats.
