The Democratic People's Party (DNP) announced that it will take all possible steps to urgently solve the problem of the usurpation of the main city square.
As stated in the announcement of the Danilovgrad committee of that party, the citizens of Danilovgrad are outraged because of the works on the town square.
They state that eight years ago, the councilor of the DNP and the Democratic Front, Veselin Marković, through councilor questions, demanded that all documentation be submitted and a detailed investigation into how a private person obtained possession of half of the city square.
"This has certainly never happened, in any country in the world, since there have been cities and squares, except in Danilovgrad, during the rule of the DPS," the announcement states.
"Of course, the competent municipal authorities did not provide any answer to our questions, because the former government behaved as if the entire city and the entire country were their private property, with which they can do whatever they want," added the DNP.
They point out that it will be the same with this work and construction, which, they say, "started the day after the final election results were announced and since it became clear that our city will never be ruled by the pest DPS".
They claim that this and other examples of deals and combinations of the former government will be thoroughly investigated and legally reviewed.
"We join the justified protests of our fellow citizens, and we demand that the builder immediately stop further usurping the city square, because, of course, such a direct threat to the public interest will have to be stopped and sanctioned," the DNP concluded.
