The time has passed when the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) and its satellites carried out discrimination and engineering of various kinds, so the amendment of the Social Democrats of Montenegro (SD) is a political blank, and citizens will declare themselves on the list of important topics, so and to questions about religion, nation and language, said Aleksandra Deletić, general secretary of Prava Montenegro.
As stated in the press release, this party ruled after the SD submitted an amendment to the parliamentary procedure, requesting that in the next census, the citizens of Montenegro should not be asked about their national and religious affiliation, nor about the language they speak.
"This proposal is nothing more than a continuation of the practice and policy of the DPS, which prevents citizens from expressing themselves freely. The fear of the people's opinion is creating panic in the ranks of these structures, because it would be precisely on these issues that they want at all costs to they avoid the clearest view of what the people think about such a policy," says Deletić.
She states that SD says that the census creates divisions in society.
"This is what the very structures that have been calling for and warning about these issues for years and decades are provoking divisions on the basis of which they exercise power," she says.
He states that emphasizing that the census must be carried out in an atmosphere devoid of tension and political influence, they refer to developed European countries that do not collect the aforementioned data.
"We cannot compare ourselves in a robbed, devastated, economically and economically destroyed Montenegro, which was privatized by individuals and in which they carried out not only political but also criminal engineering, with Germany, Sweden or Switzerland, or the other countries they cite. In these countries, politicians and officials resign for every affair or violation of the law, while in our country for three decades, Đukanović and his regime have been systematically changing the structure of the population through intimidation, blackmail, bribery and other well-known methods," she said.
He also says that with this proposal they are trying to discriminate against national minorities.
"Preventing their right to express themselves on these issues, and on the basis of these data to exercise their rights guaranteed by the law and the Constitution, to create public policies to promote their culture and traditions in accordance with these data. Therefore, everyone in Montenegro today is clear about this intention , behind which is the concern for the lack of control they have had so far and the fear of a free census in which every citizen will be able to express himself freely, just like in the elections on August 30, as he wishes," she concluded.
