Prava Montenegro announced that it will vote for all four candidates for judges of the Constitutional Court at the Assembly session on November 28. They said that on that day it will be clear who is blocking that institution.
"Prava Montenegro welcomes the invitation of the Venice Commission to vote for all four candidates for Judges of the Constitutional Court and we expect the opposition to reconsider its positions after the opinion of the Venice Commission.
"At the previous meeting, on the initiative of the President of the Assembly, Danijela Đurović, Prava Montenegro expressed its position and intention to vote for all proposed candidates and thus contribute to the unblocking of institutions.
"We hope that the opposition has revised its positions in relation to that meeting and that they have moved from their initial positions, which implied and meant further deepening of the crisis through the continuation of dysfunctional institutions," Prava announced.
They also said that they hope that the president of the country and the leader of the DPS, Milo Đukanović, will change his position, following the opinion of the Venice Commission and the request from the protest of the deputies of his party to unblock the Constitutional Court, and that the deputies of the DPS will remain consistent "with their positions and to what they promised their supporters at the protests".
"If the outcome is not like this, it will be clear that the protests were organized because of the fear of losing Milo Đukanović's seat, that the DPS MPs are playing games and misleading their supporters and that in the end DPS is holding the citizens and the entire country hostage to their ambitions and failed politics, and that with its anti-civilizational action it represents the biggest obstacle to the stabilization of political conditions, the functioning of institutions and the state," the announcement concludes.
