The first session of the newly elected Municipal Assembly (SO) of Kolašin is scheduled for December 15.
In addition to confirming the mandate of councilors, the election of a new president of the local parliament is also planned. According to unofficial information from "Vijesti", it will be Vasilije Bulatović, holder of the Democratic Front (DF) list.
In the local elections held on October 23, the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) lost power in Kolašin. The coalition gathered around that party won nine mandates, as many as the Democrats and United coalition. In the new convocation of the SO, there will also be four councilors from the DF, three each from the Movement Europe Now and the Socialist People's Party, two from the Momčilo Vukčević Voter Group and one from the list of URA and free citizens.
As it was announced recently, the new Kolašin government will consist of Democrats and United, DF, Evropa Sad, SNP and URA. The future president of the municipality will be a deputy and vice president of the Democrats Vladimr Martinović. The first vice president, most likely will be Vasilije Ivanovic, holder of the Europe now list, and others Miodrag Miki Bulatović from SNP.
The Municipal Election Commission (MEC) determined the final results of the local elections in Kolašin, although the Constitutional Court has not yet ruled on the DPS appeals. The MEC and the State Election Commission (SEC) rejected as unfounded the objections of that party, which related to the work of the polling committee for polling station number 7 - Trebaljevo and number 2 - Kolašin 2, which were followed by appeals to the Constitutional Court, from which it came notification that "complaints will be decided upon when the conditions are met".
