Šaranović: Vuković should leave the cabinet, stop playing tricks

Danilo Šaranović, Democrat deputy and holder of the "Let's go people" list in the elections in Podgorica, held on October 23, told the "former mayor" Ivan Vuković to stop obstructing the handover of power and "feigning democracy".

He said that the information was that Vuković had invited Jakov Milatović, the holder of the list of Europe now, for the column "believe it or not".

"Let's remind ourselves, because it seems to me that some have forgotten. Just a few months ago, the DPS MPs informed the Assembly in a written act that they decided, due to the complex economic and geopolitical situation, to take over the powers of the Speaker of the Assembly and that with another number deputies, completely contrary to the Constitution, they called a session of the Assembly at which the 43rd Government and the President of the Assembly were elected".

"Imagine, those who admitted with their signature that they forcibly took over the constitutional powers of the chairman of the Assembly, who is the only one who can convene sessions, those who then proposed and adopted unconstitutional laws on the postponement of local elections and a set of unconstitutional anti-Zetical laws, are giving someone a lesson on respect every day of the Constitution and represent themselves as defenders of the Constitution," Saranović announced.

Actually, as he said, it is about "the biggest usurpers of power and anti-democrats that modern Montenegro remembers".

"Just look at the cheap and primitive way in which their members and coalition partners, not to mention the international community, obstruct the takeover of power in several Montenegrin municipalities where they convincingly lost the elections.

"And after all, the mayor of Podgorica, who accepted that he was illegally elected several times and whose officials daily obstruct the peaceful transition of power in Podgorica, says that he is calling for consultations with one of the holders of the winning electoral lists. Definitely information for the column 'believe it or not'". Saranovic stated.

He told Vuković that he was a "former mayor" and that his time in that position was over.

"It is up to you to stop obstructing the handover of power for several weeks and pack your personal belongings from the Cabinet, because that is the decision of the citizens of Podgorica who gave a convincing majority support and victory to the previous opposition.

"Everything else is a matter for the Assembly of the Capital City and its session, at which the new leadership of the Capital City will be elected. So, let go of tricks, farcical consultations and feigning democracy. Everything you and your party did in the previous weeks and months was anti-European, anti-democratic and, above all, usurper," Saranović concluded.
