We call on (Veselin) Vukčević to end the obstructions, to peacefully hand over power and to respect the rules of procedure, and to the former mayor (Ivan) Vuković to refrain from projects that could lead him to the dock, and for which he lost his mandate, said Stefan Vešović, Prava councilor of Montenegro in the Podgorica Municipality Assembly.
In the press release of that party, he says that the scandalous behavior of the president of the Municipal Election Commission of the Capital City continued on Friday, and that arbitrariness and violent rule are clearly a characteristic of Vukčević, but also of everything he represents - the DPS regime.
"The scenes that could be seen at the last session can only serve to embarrass the citizens of Podgorica. The introduction of non-institutional activities into the institutions is a clear example of impotence and disrespect for the will of the citizens. Podgorica has clearly stated what it thinks about the team led by Vuković and served by Vukčević , therefore we are telling them to stop the obstructions and hand over power in a peaceful manner, in accordance with the law," Vešović added.
As he said, Prava Montenegro invites the competent institutions to determine how and in what way the married couple Nedović resides in the offices of the Municipal Election Commission.
"Given that for several days no one from the capital came forward to deny the allegations, we believe that they knew and know about the usurpation of public institutions, in this case the office of the MEC. Is this a practice in other local institutions under control as well? DPS, will be checked quickly after taking over the local administration," concluded Vešović.
