The Democratic Party of Socialists condemned the attack on deputies Sulj Mustafić and Genci Nimanbegu.
"It is an inadmissible act that is behind irresponsible individuals, and whose actions in no way reflect the character of the protest that was held yesterday in front of the Assembly," according to the press release of the DPS Public Relations Service.
The DPS welcomed, as they say, "the timely reaction of the organizers of the protest "Ima nas", who condemned the attack on MPs Mustafić and Nimanbegu, completely distancing themselves from that inadmissible act".
They add that "the language of violence is not welcome in the democratic and civil struggle for a European and decent Montenegro, against the government that is deliberately leading this country into the abyss".
"This freakish government promoted aggression and primitivism as the top values of their rule," DPS said.
"All of us who are fighting against this scourge that is ravaging Montenegro, have to show that we are different, but ready, all of us to the last, to stand on the side of this country and not take a step back from them," the announcement concludes.
