"The privileged still have gates on the pontoons, and the architecture, typical of some mountainous landscape, began to spread across the UNESCO-protected bay and is not part of the advent before the New Year holidays," announced the Municipal Board of DPS in Kotor.
"This is an appeal to the citizens to open their eyes and understand where this city is going," the announcement states.
They point out that a few months ago they witnessed the installation of a wooden object for the sale of souvenirs in Slobode Park.
"It's a shame, because that very building threw all the cultural heritage, its preservation, UNESCO, and everything that is a rhetorical ornament to our current municipal government," emphasized DPS Kotor.
They also ask, "why not put a mountain home at the very entrance to Captain's Ljuta?".
"All this with the proper permission of the Sea Dobor, who until they came to the chair called the Sea Evil, and then they did not even think of giving consent to such a miracle of architecture, even as a temporary object," the announcement states.
They emphasize that they cannot but draw a parallel with the current situation in the country.
As they say, "some new guys came - liberators and freed us from our culture, way of life and everything that this people created and preserved for centuries".
"We call on the President of the Municipality, Mr. Vladimir Jokić, to advocate with the same zeal for the removal of these bizarre temporary structures and issue a ban on future similar structures, because we must not allow this provincialization and mountainization of Kotor," concluded the Kotor DPS.
