The General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Aleksandar Bogdanović said that the appointment of Ilija Vukčević, a recent candidate for Constitutional Court judge, as State Secretary in the Ministry of Finance confirmed that the government wanted to choose judges who were to their liking.
"Since the government's intention to be elected as a judge of the Constitutional Court failed, one candidate was given a new position in the Government just four days later. The candidate was previously an associate of ex-UPC director Rado Milošević. Those certificates of impartiality are being issued," he wrote. is Bogdanović on Twitter.

He said that DPS from the beginning pointed out "all the shortcomings of the candidate selection process, which was one-sided".
"It didn't take long to prove that we were right. From the start, there was only one scenario - that the government chooses, and the opposition votes for the candidates they like.
"Therein lies the whole essence of the current situation with the Constitutional Court. When there really is a desire to vote for truly impartial candidates, who are not waiting for 'plan B' in the form of alternative engagements in the government, as far as we are concerned - the agreement will be reached in five minutes ", concluded Bogdanović.
