The amendments to the Law on the President were published tonight in the Official Gazette, which means that this regulation has entered into force.
The amendments to the law were adopted by the Assembly on Monday, for the second time after the President Milo Đukanović returned them with the explanation that they are unconstitutional.
Đukanović signed the Law today, because it is his constitutional obligation to sign it a second time.
This speeds up the procedure for electing a new government whose mandate will be Miodrag Lekić.
"Vijesti" was previously told by the parliamentary majority that a new government could be formed by the end of the year.
