We call on the Democrats to break their silence, and to appeal to their coalition partners from the SNP-NSD-DNP not to repeat new destructions and heinous acts in Šavnik, announced the Municipal Committee of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) Šavnik.
They believe, as they stated, that the corruption, lawlessness, impotence and disgrace of the state embodied in the local elections in Šavnik tomorrow have the opportunity to be ended.
"Supporting the obstruction of the electoral process is not in accordance with the spirit of modern civilization, and rotten compromises for the sake of any privileges are not worth a blow to democracy, nor do they bring anything good to Šavnik or Montenegro," they state from the DPS.
They say that at tomorrow's repeat voting at two polling stations in that municipality, they have a chance to finally end the complete confusion surrounding the local elections in Šavnik.
"In order for that to happen, it is necessary for our political opponents to give up new destruction, legal and physical violence, and not prevent voters with the right to vote in our municipality from freely expressing their will again. Absolutely no one can and should not be to prevent any citizen with the right to vote in Šavnik from his constitutionally guaranteed right to vote and be elected," the announcement reads.
That is why they expect, as they stated, that the prosecution, the police and all other authorities, in order to preserve the democratic principle of the election of the government, will do everything to ensure that tomorrow's election day in Šavnik is held in a democratically valid manner.
